14.01.2022 The one that nearly got away! It’s possibly officially a ‘wet year’. Good rain from mid Jan to mid March, then same for June through July. We certainly don’t want to see last years July through December drought, but we are looking forward to the end of a wet winter and a productive run to Christmas (I know our land owners, contractors and customers need it).

11.01.2022 When you look at this map of NSW and the east coast in particular, all the grey area is made up of (excluding 5% of which is state owned land set aside for 'tree farming') National Parks, Nature Reserves and Environmental Conservation, plus Environmental Management Zones. The remainder is privately owned rural land. The majority of which is NOT forested. The actual amount of forest in NSW that is 'harvested' is less than 10%. Hopefully all goes well in Cabinet on Tuesday and that the over-reaching Koala SEPP that threatened to make our managed rural land sterile can be amended so as to be 'workable'.
