21.01.2022 THE RIGHT HON DOUG ANTHONY AC CH The Board and Members of the North Coast National note with sadness the passing of Doug Anthony. Doug Anthony had a keen interest in regional Shows particularly those on the Northern Rivers where he was Member for Richmond for so many years.... Doug Anthony was a Life Member and Patron of the North Coast National and opened the 1982 Lismore Show. Pictured are 2 photos from our archives. One shows Doug Anthony on a slide owned by Mr & Mrs B Perry from Kyogle when he opened the 1982 Show. The other photo shows Doug Anthony with the Japanese Ambassador to Australia, then President of North Coast National, Spencer Spinaze and Robyn Hewett leading her Jersey in 1969. 18.01.2022 REMEMBRANCE DAY 2020 At 11.30am today the North Coast National was represented by Board Treasurer Andrew Gordon and Secretary Mark Bailey at the wreath laying ceremony at the North Lismore War Memorial. We Will Remember Them.

06.01.2022 This Saturday, come to the Lismore Farmers Market- Direct From The Grower at the Lismore Show Ground and meet Julie from the amazing charity Who Gives A Cluck Julie is rehoming hens to approved mother cluckers. All these chooks have been rescued from a caged egg (Battery) Farm and will be going home with people who will love them. If you would like to adopt a rescue chook that still lays eggs, see Julie.
