25.01.2022 Happy New Year! It certainly has been a challenging year however we’re all looking forward to 2021 and the last summer at the Northcote Aquatic & Recreation Centre for a couple of years while the redevelopment takes place! With a warm summer predicted, we’ll be making some changes to our weekend opening hours to ensure as much of the community are able to enjoy the facility as possible, while still sticking to the important Government regulations. From Monday, January 4 the c...entre opening hours will increase to: Monday to Friday: 6.00am to 9.00pm Saturday to Sunday: 7.00am to 7.00pm All aquatics bookings will now give you access to any of our swimming pools, bookings for individual pools are no longer required. Walk-in bookings will be permitted if there are spaces available. We recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment. 22.01.2022 With additional services opening at NARC from tomorrow morning, we would like to remind all patrons of the following; - Bookings are essential, and must be made online or over the phone prior to attending and must be paid for in advance. Bookings can be made via our website https://northcote.ymca.org.au/ - We ask that patrons arrive and start queueing no more than 5 minutes prior to your booked session time - Booking session time limits apply to allow for a sanitisation peri...od between each session. It is important that all patrons exit the facilities within their session time, to allow for the next session to get started - Access to drink fountains and lockers remains closed. We'd like to remind everyone to please bring a full water bottle with you, or alternatively you can purchase bottled water from reception - Masks must be worn when entering and leaving the facility and temperature checks will be taken on arrival We are so excited to welcome more people back into our facilities and thank you in advance for helping us to ensure a safe and happy environment for all patrons and staff.

22.01.2022 From tomorrow (Monday, January 11), all daytime and evening swimming sessions will be extended to 2hrs 30mins to allow families and patrons to enjoy more time at the pool this summer. These sessions will commence at 9.00am on weekdays and 10.00am on weekends. The morning sessions will remain at 90mins (75min swim with a 15min changeover) to help accommodate all of our lap swimming community. These 90min sessions will be held at 6.00am & 7.30am on weekdays and 7.00am & 8.30am... on weekends. All sessions can continue to be booked online. Walk-ins are also permitted, however we recommend booking in advance where possible to avoid disappointment, particularly on hot days. Look forward to seeing everyone in the water this summer!

12.01.2022 OUTDOOR 25M POOL TO OPEN FOR LAP SWIMMING From Thursday, October 15 we will be opening the 25m Outdoor Pool at the Northcote Aquatic & Recreation Centre. This pool will be available for lap swimming and exercise purposes in line with the current Second Step restrictions and can be booked... two days in advance from 8.00am. Please note that the Outdoor 25m Pool at NARC is 0.7m to 0.9m deep and may not be suitable for all lap swimmers A limit of 18 swimmers (3 per lane) applies Bookings will be for 45 minutes of swimming time to allow for a 15-minute changeover and sanitisation period between each session (the 25m Outdoor Pool sessions will start on the half hour with the first session commencing at 6.30am on weekdays and 7.30am on weekends) At this stage, only outdoor lap swimming and exercise is available. Please note that all other aquatic programs and services remain closed. Toilets will be available, but access to drink fountains, showers, change rooms and lockers will remain closed. Swimmers will be required to change on the pool deck and not indoors. We ask that everyone arrives showered, ready to swim and bring your own water bottle. Bookings for Thursday will be available from tomorrow (Tuesday, October 13) at 8.00am.

11.01.2022 From next Monday (November 9) there will be additional services opened at NARC in line with the easing of restrictions by the Victorian Government. From Monday, the following services will also be offered in addition to outdoor lap swimming and tennis: Gym Access: 50min sessions with a 10 patron limit... Group Fitness Classes: 45min sessions with a 10 patron limit (more information to follow regarding our timetable) Indoor Pool Lap Swimming and Aqua Play: A maximum of 20 people allowed per pool (please note: the 25m Outdoor Pool will close for lap swimming from Monday, November 9 and this service will be offered in the 25m Indoor Pool all lap swimming times and services in the 50m Outdoor Pool will remain unchanged) Bookings for each of these areas and sessions will be available two days in advance from 8.00am As there are still restrictions on facility usage under the current Government requirements, all existing member accounts will remain on suspension and membership fees will not be charged. 06.01.2022 EXTENDED OPENING HOURS ON SUNDAY We will be extending our Sunday opening hours to 7.00am to 5.00pm from this Sunday, October 11. Bookings for Sunday will be available from tomorrow (Friday, October 9) at 8.00am.... Please also note that our Priority Session bookings for next week will continue to be available two days in advance at 10.30am. These sessions are held at 10.00am and 2.00pm on weekdays and are for health care cardholders, older adults, people with a disability or people that are using the pool for rehabilitation purposes.
