21.01.2022 8 June. World Ocean Day ... to remind everyone of the major role the oceans have in everyday life... Oceans are the lungs of our planet, providing most of the oxygen we need to breathe ... not a rubbish tip for plastic and personal hygiene products! On Sunday our @ncslsc Eco Surf Champions as well as Year 7 students from @plcperth and Year 8 @scotchcollegeperth helped sort the waste our @towncottesloe community had collected off the beach after the recent storms. 52 kilogra...ms of rubbish. What was disturbing were the number of cotton tips found tangled in seaweed - not from people cleaning their ears at the beach but from dropping them down their sinks at home (and then washing through the gaps in our storm water drains into the ocean and onto our North Cottesloe beach). @natgeo All part of our @take3slsc program #worldoceansday #worldoceansday2020 #communityservice #take3forthesea #beachcleanup #minderoofoundation @ North Cottesloe Surf Life Saving Club See more

20.01.2022 Very cute - 2 of our Eco Surf Champions having fun with our new water filter station - the latest addition to @ncslsc thanks to the success of our grant submission as part of our effort to reduce the use of single use plastic.... We would like to thank @kabcwa for this funding. The water station will not only be available to our club members but anyone visiting our beach. This is a magnificent achievement for our club and the @towncottesloe in reducing the amount of plast...ic pollution going into the ocean. @postnewspapers #plasticpollution #plasticfree #zerowaste #savetheplanet #plastic #ecofriendly #pollution #environment #recycle #climatechange #sustainability #ocean #singleuseplastic #noplastic #plasticwaste #saynotoplastic #reuse #reducereuserecycle #nature #plasticfreeoceans #beachcleanup #sustainableliving #plasticpollutes #savetheocean #breakfreefromplastic #gogreen #plasticfreeliving #plasticocean #sustainable @ North Cottesloe Surf Life Saving Club See more

16.01.2022 Wearing a seatbelt is one of easiest ways to protect drivers and passengers in a vehicle. Stopping suddenly imposes a great deal of force on all objects in the vehicle. A seatbelt distributes that force to some of the strongest parts of the human anatomy - the chest and pelvis.... #messageinmotion Road Safety Commission
