21.01.2022 Omeo, the City of the Alps and its sky blanket! Great Alpine Road trip adventures and the many views are awesome up in the Omeo Region. Geoff Gray @gjgray_photo...graphy photographed this beauty & writes "The Great Alpine Road in Victoria is a beautiful drive and Im lucky to have grown up there. We climbed over the Great Dividing Range the other day and ran straight into thick fog. As we began to climb up to Mt Hotham we got to see this. Beneath the blanket of fog is the township of Omeo" See more of his great photos on Instagram @gjgray_photography

02.01.2022 94 Boaters and 45 Non Boaters contested the Gippsland Lakes Atomic Australian Bream Qualifiers from the Metung Hotel this weekend gone. Cam Whittam from VIC won... the event with 10/10 fish weighing in at 10.37kg. Coming in second was Day 2 leader Jamie McKeown with 7/10 fish for 8.21kg. Local lad, Bowan Joiner, backed up his win at Mallacoota by taking out the non-boater division with 7/10 fish for 6.52kg. Close on his heels with 40 grams between them was Tom McIntosh 8/10 for 6.46kg. Mitchell River Flats and the Mitchell Mouth provided a lot of fish and the High Current Rock Wall at Lakes Entrance was second place getters favourite spot. Fishermen have a bag limit of 5 fish per day which must be released after weighing and swim away or they are disqualified. Photo is a 1.57kg Big Bream for the weekend. Great weekend well done all.
