While it was disappointing, but appropriate, to cancel both the Junior and Senior Presentation nights, we have proceeded with our club awards for the season.... Congratulations to all winners, and especially to our two premiership teams, the u13s, and the One Day Team. The trophies will be distributed at an appropriate time. In the meantime, we hope you all stay safe, and we will see you once again next season. #maroontothebone

The 2nd XI also play Hallam, and are looking to get their season moving. Matt Decarne has earned a promotion from our 3rd's, after an impr...essive 72 last week against Berwick. Our 3rd XI will look to kickstart their season against Parkmore after some strong individual efforts, including Matt Decarne's 72, and Aman Singh's 4/8 off 5 overs. 10.01.2022 Northerners, your teams for the first round of the 20/21 season! Our 1st XI begin the season with a trip to Park Oval, against Buckley Ridges. Congrats to Clayton McCartney on his appointment as 1st XI captain, with Matin Sultani as his vice captain. Congrats to both Buddhika Janith and Mahesh Kumara, who will make their 1st XI debuts this week. Go well boys! A strong 2nd XI will look to improve on just missing out on finals last season, led by NDCC coach Leroy de Alwis. The...re are plenty of NDCC debutants in the team this week, with Hassan Ali, Hussain Shafahi, Rahman Jabarkhail, Mo Nasimi and Zamir Hameed all playing their first games for the club. Our 3rd XI will look to carry on the success of our synthetic teams this season, with Ranil Rathnayake captaining the side this season. A strong team has been selected, with many players fighting for a 2nd XI spot, as well as players from our Grand Final winning 4th XI last season. 06.01.2022 Northerners, it is with great sadness that we share the news that NDCC Life Member & club stalwart, Colin Riddiford has passed away this morning after recent illness. Colin has been involved in our club since its inception in 1977, and prior to that when it evolved from the NDJFC. He was a foundation member of the Football Club since its beginnings in 1971 and has been significantly involved until this day. His continual service with both clubs is renowned and his ability to ...fight to the end and see the NDJFC continue again with its connection with Masala FC is to be greatly admired. Col fought his health battles in recent years in the same way he approached everything he did - full on and with no backward steps. He may have had a prickly persona but underneath was a heart that pumped maroon & black. This was his badge of honour. He put the benefit of North Dandy above all else, and for this we are truly greatful. At the right time, we shall all remember Colins battles & debates with us all, club members, officials, neighbours, council and opposition clubs alike. They were stuff of legend and I am sure we all have a story or 3 to look back on which will make us smile now. We at NDCC & NDJFC have many things to be thankful for due to Colins commitment & involvement. Most were done in the background and possibly went unnoticed by most, just the way he liked it. Thanks Col. Colin is survived by his wife Lorraine, sons Mark & Darren and their extended families. To them we send our maroon & black heart felt condolences and extend our thanks for Colins overarching commitment to his second home at Lois Twohig Reserve. We thank and admire Colin for a life well lived and his great service to the North Dandenong community as a whole. At some stage in the future, once the Covid protocols allow and the family are ready, there will be a celebration of Colins life held at the club. Vale Colin. #MaroonToTheBone

06.01.2022 A great win for our u13s in their semi-final! After setting 188 to win off our 40, including 30* from both Harry and Lachie Balta, and some power hitting from Gurasees and Sudes at the end of the innings. It was a great team effort with the ball, led by Sudes (3.1 overs, 1/4), and Lachie Balta (4 overs, 3/8). Come down and support the future of the club at the grand final next week!

04.01.2022 SENIOR COACH APPOINTMENT 2020/21 Hi Northerners, the NDCC committee is pleased to announce the appointment of LEROY DE ALWIS as Senior Club Coach for the next 2 seasons. Leroy returns to NDCC after playing a few seasons with us in the late 90s & early 2000s. He has since gone on to have a successful senior coaching career with Kingston Heath, Omega & Mackie in the strong SECA competition. Holding a CA Level 2 qualification, Leroy brings a wealth of cricket knowledge & experie...nce, man management & player development skills and most importantly, a strong passion for the game. While some of our "more senior" members know Leroy already, we as a club welcome Leroy and his family to the NDCC & we look forward to his contribution as we continue to re-shape our club into the quality environment we all want it to be. The NDCC committee and Senior Coach Leroy de Alwis are pleased to announce the appointment of Shane Clark, Shane Leonard and Rayne Baptist to these roles. Each will have a designated role to be announced by the Coach in due course. Clarky and Shaneo will continue in their successful roles from last season. Rayne is also a former NDCC player and experienced coach who will bring a great skillset to our playing group.
