12.01.2022 How Often Should I Renew My First Aid Certificate? In Australia, all First Aid Certificates should be refreshed every 3 years. Although they don't expire as such, this is to basically ensure your knowledge stays up-to-date and current. It's worth mentioning that for First Aid in the workplace, it is in fact regulated by the Government and has guidelines from Worksafe Victoria. In contrast, first aid for personal reasons isn't required by any regulations to be updated, althou...gh the same intervals are recommended. Course Code - HLTAID001 Perform CPR Workplace Reasons Personal Reasons Course Duration 3 Hours Renew every year First Aid Course -Provide first Aid HLTAID003 Renew every 3 years 1 Day (6.5 Hours) Nest Course Tuesday 25th September Refreshing your First Aid Certifiation For people that specifically require first aid for the workplace, the First Aid in the Workplace Code of Practice states that First Aiders must renew their qualification every three years from a course that is nationally recognised. If it has been more than three years since you have renewed your certificate, you must complete the full Provide First Aid course again.
