23.01.2022 Last chance to book for tonight’s Webinar!!

21.01.2022 It's crafty Tuesday and here's a suggestion for keeping your saddle and stirrups clean and stop them rubbing - using a double oven mitt. You can either buy one ...from a store like Target or KMart, or make one yourself. If you want to try your hand at this, here's a video to help you. Note, you won't need the double insulation layers in the middle if you are not planning to use it to take hot items out of the oven. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQD_7gNyKtE We are sure many of our members have great ideas for making or recycling horse products and could share a 'crafty Tuesday activity. We'd love you to send your ideas to us so we can share them! Send (with a photo if possible) to [email protected] or put in the comments below. #craftytuesday #stirrups #protectyoursaddle #handyhorsehint

18.01.2022 For Crafty Tuesday this week, here is another simple Christmas present idea. How good does this key holder look? All you need is:... one old horse shoe some horse shoe nails a hammer a piece of wood 2 cans of spray paint in different colours (optional) a short length of fishing line or strong thread to attach to the back, using glue or small screw-in hooks like picture frames have. You can leave it rustic or paint the pieces first. This is even something you could make at Pony Club for - as one club calls it - a 'crafternoon' activity on a hot or wet day. We'd love to see your efforts! #craftytuesday

09.01.2022 Do you have spare gear? It's crafty Tuesday and here's a great way to recycle old bits and stirrups. Why not decorate some for Christmas? You can leave them rus...tic, or give them a quick spray paint with silver paint spray and glitter. Glue on your decorations and you are done. We'd love to see the results. NOTE: Some more inspiring ideas are already posted below! #craftytuesday #bitsandstirrups #horseychristmasdecorations

04.01.2022 This week's crafty Tuesday is about your horse, and making him a treat - for now, or for Christmas. Most of the time, you can make delicious horse treats with t...he items sitting in your pantry. Make sure to choose ingredients that are safe for horses. Homemade Oatmeal Horse Treats Ingredients: 1 large Carrot 1 large Apple 1 cup Molasses 2 1/2 cups Oat Flakes (ie for porridge) 2 Tablespoons Oil Directions: Shred the carrot and the apple into a large bowl. Add in the oil, oats, and molasses. Stir to combine well so that all the oats are covered in the molasses. Pour the mixture into a greased 20cm30cm baking dish. Pat the treats down with a spoon or with your fingers so they are flattened into the pan. Bake at 200C for about 40 minutes or until they begin to get crispy. Remove the treats from the oven and let them cool for a while. The treats will harden slightly as they cool. Once they are hardened you can cut them into pieces. Alternatively use a knife to start to cut them, and when they cool they will snap apart. Recipe: Saddlebox. #craftytuesday
