25.01.2022 Just a reminder that there is practice on Sunday, we know its Fathers Day, so bring your father along for a shot or get your kids to treat their father to a couple of rounds, 10am set up and shoot about 11am.

22.01.2022 Yesterday saw us return to full competition here in Tassy, was an enjoyable day, no wind, no rain, but that is the first time we have shot in fog all day, it never let up, at times got thicker and threw a bit of a challenge up to the shooters, congratulations to the winners. 17.01.2022 Ok girls and boys, the paperwork has been done and submitted, we have an answer from the State giving us permission to start shooting as of Monday the 15 June, therefore our first TARGETS ONLY day will be on Saturday 20 June followed by our normal day on the 28 June. All club members were emailed the rules and regulations we have to abide by, break the rules and you will be asked to remove yourself from the range, abide by the rules and we will continue to shoot, dont forget there will be NO WALK IN nominations on the day YOU MUST contact Judy to secure a slot. 16.01.2022 Well, only 2 weeks to the MYSTERY shoot, Handicaps could come in many forms, wait for the surprise or you could be torn.

16.01.2022 More to yesterdays post re shooting, property owner has said its ok, so our first TARGETS ONLY shoot will be Saturday the 20th June, you have to contact Judy for a slot, she will contact those who are shooting and give you a squad number and start time, that is the time at the pad not the car park, if you aint there you dont get to shoot, when you have finished pack up your gear and leave the range, it is all in the protocols that were sent to you to read. The next shoot after that will be the 28th June, same thing applies, maybe things and numbers will change in July, keep fingers crossed. Dont forget no walk ins to nominate on the day, if you havent prenominated you cant shoot.

15.01.2022 Just an update for the NM Classic in November, we have filled the 96 slots and are overflowing so we have decided we will open the shoot up to 112 slots, 7 shooters per squad and no more, that is an extra 16 slots. After the GP at the weekend we only have 9 of those 16 extra slots available, we never in our wildest dreams thought this shoot would get to where it is today, I can remember when we struggled to get 30 shooters. There will be an extra event on the Sunday which is ...sponsored by Bruce and Kim Burns, it is a "lucky score draw" supershoot, 6 shooters, $1500 cash to the winner and $100 to the other 5 shooters, $250 bonus if winner uses GB shell over the weekend. We are going to trial something different so we have plenty of time on the Sunday, we will shoot 5 ranges on the Saturday and 3 on the Sunday which will give us plenty of time for the supershoot, any shoot offs, presentation and afternoon nibblies and a beer or two, those catching flights should have plenty of time. If you are going to fly out on the Sunday could I suggest you book with Virgin as they have a flight at 6.30pm, the other crowd,Jetstar normally bring their flights forward or cancel, up to you have a look at their websites but past experience tells us they cancel flights or make them earlier. We realise that there will be cancelations for whatever reason so keep an eye on this page for any updates on slots available. See more

Let's have some fun on Sunday" A couple of tips, first round is all singles, double and single barrel targets, second round is all doubles, sim, report and raffale pairs. The best tip is READ THE BLOODY MENU BOARD, because if you don't you could lose targets. Best of luck and see youse all on Sunday.... PS. There is a 20g trophy, but it is open to ALL sub-guages.

14.01.2022 Just a reminder to ALL club members that this Saturday the 11th is a working bee day, we need to get the rest of the logs cut up and carted, so if you have a saw and can spare some time we would love to see you, start time 10am. If you plan on coming give Judy a call or email so she can work out the catering for lunch. If you cant make it, there is another way to help YOUR club out, we have a couple of projects on the go that could do with some funding, so if you would like to sponsor or part sponsor a project give us a call, dont leave it to the small band that are there every time.

12.01.2022 Some good news, the TF&GA Secretary Graeme Witchard has re-negotiated the protocols with Sport and Rec, and has been successful, well done Graeme. We are now allowed 80 shooters, and a canteen, we still have to abide by the social distancing and hygiene rules, this Saturdays shoot will still be as we originally planned but the 28 June will be back to a basically normal shoot set up. Hope to see you at the shoots, do the right thing so we can continue to progress towards normality again.

11.01.2022 The 31 July came and went, those few shooters who did not respond in any way as promised have been removed from the main list, this afternoon those on the reserve list that have now been allocated a slot you will be sent an email with the noms form attached, the rest is up to you, if you dont want the slot please let us know because there is a heap of other shooters on the reserve list waiting to see if they get a run. 08.01.2022 Hi all, we have some good news and some not so good news, firstly the good news, the NM Classic will still go ahead in November this year, and the not so good news is that shooters from the North Island wont be attending this year. I am sure most of you will be aware that Tasmanias borders are closed until at least 1 December and, on latest advice, possibly longer. This also means that flights and boat travel are likely to be very limited for quite some time yet. With all o...f this in mind we are sad to say we will be unable to offer places at the shoot to our mainland friends. We regret we have had to make this decision but it is beyond our control. We wish you all the best in this difficult time and only hope we will be able to see everyone again soon. Stay safe, look after yourselves. Best wishes from all at Northern Midlands.

06.01.2022 We would like to thank the little group that turned up for the working bee last Saturday, a fair bit was achieved by a few, just maybe some more may surprise us and turn up for the next one which will be shortly.

06.01.2022 Further restrictions lifted here in Tassy as of Friday, means that we can have 500 at a shoot (we wish) and the square meterage indoors is 2 metres not 4. This state must be doing something right. For Sundays comp you dont need to book a spot, just turn up as before, there will be a full canteen operating. You will shoot 2 rounds of 50 straight. Still need to comply with social distancing and hygiene regulations. So if you are keen for a shot then we will see ya on Sunday, 9.30 sharp, noms close at 10am.
