21.01.2022 Belinda Walker’s FDC embeds Aboriginal Culture into the program on a daily basis. This week they have enjoyed a variety of activities and cooking experiences to celebrate NAIDOC week. The children enjoyed cooking Gurruuman spaghetti [Kangaroo spaghetti], Lemon Myrtle Rock Cakes and Australian Salmon Fish Cakes. The recipe for the fish cakes came from the Flavours of the coast Koori Cookbook.

15.01.2022 A great resource to share during NAIDOC Week.

15.01.2022 It was a great opportunity for Lisa's Family Day Care to go and network with Ashlee's Family Day Care. There were many exciting experiences for children to explore and participate in. Networking gives educators valuable opportunities to share ideas, inspire one another, critically reflect and boost each others mental wellbeing. It was a lovely day had by all!

13.01.2022 During NAIDOC week, the children at Donna's FDC, were exposed to an authentic experience which celebrated our first Australians. One of the Bundjalung children's parents drew an artwork piece and all the children had a great opportunity to paint the drawing.

02.01.2022 The staff at the Tweed Heads office decided to celebrate NAIDOC Week, by bringing you a puppet show called ‘Tiddalik’. The tale of Tiddalik is a legend from Aboriginal Dreamtime. NAIDOC Week is a wonderful opportunity to explore diversity and learn new skills to embed into your daily program. We would love to see some ways you have celebrated with NAIDOC activities !
