24.01.2022 Week 4 meeting of February revealed a very diverse and high quality range of articles for Show and Tell with the Halo being awarded to Guido Guidi for the production of his Redgum bowl with acknowledgement of the mentoring by Greg Jackson, This was followed by an OHS presentation by a Robert Edge and advice on finishing of articles to exhibition standard by Bill Elliot. Thanks to both Rob and Bill for their professional presentations. There was a collection of items made for St Barnabas church in North Adelaide in appreciation of their donation of some very old WhiteOak.
24.01.2022 Xmas break up well attended with lots of food to share. Thanks to the cooks and those that set up wishing all a merry Xmas looking forward to the new year
20.01.2022 Our 4th Saturday April meeting very well attended. Congratulations to Chris Deguet awarded the Halo for the month. Thanks to Frankie and George Pastuch for their lecture on Pouring resins and Graham Reid for the tips on Casting Resins and use.
19.01.2022 Last month week 4 meeting saw a demonstration on chucking techniques by Ron Allen and Show and Tell display with Bill Elliot winning the Halo for his deep hollowing
18.01.2022 First meeting since February in The Para Hills Community Hub due to COVID restrictions. Very well attended AGM with all previous committee members and executive positions filled by the members from last year’s election. Thanks very much to these office holders especially President Tim Smeatton for his leadership and direction at this time. A very active debate on the pursuit of alternative premises for next year and further investigation will follow before a decision is made.... A very large and diverse range of exhibits at Show And Tell from very large to small and different media. Congratulations to Allan Milbank being awarded the Halo for his Twisted Table. Thanks to all those that attended and congratulations to all office holders for your nomination and commitment. We look forward to a year where we can reconvene our club pursuits
15.01.2022 First 4th weekend meeting for 2020 with a General meeting followed by Show and Tell and a sharpening demonstration by Tim Skilton. Halo for January was awarded to Peter Page for his sensitive use of resin with a high contrast platter
15.01.2022 Last official meeting for the year with a demonstration by Graham Reed and a large variety of exhibits on Show and Tell. The Halo was presented to Lindsay Winen for his chess board and pieces. This was followed by presentation of the ‘NORTHERN TURNERS ACKNOWLEDGMENT AWARD’ for the most popular voted exhibits at Show and Tell for the year. First place was awarded to Lindsay Winen, second place to Bill Elliot and third to Guido Guidi. Congratulations to all

03.01.2022 Annual General Meeting withTim Smeaton becoming President and all positions filled on the Committee. Robert Edge was presented with the Dick Pillar award for Service to the club and Anne Kerr was presented with Life Membership for her contributions to Northern Turners over many years. Congratulations Anne and Robert. The Halo was awarded to Guido Guidi for his Redgum platter. This was followed by a spirited competition titled Here comes the Judge where 7 teams had to produce a Gavel and Sounding Block within 2 hours. All teams had to have a novice and experienced member. Equal 2nd place went to teams of Tim, Ed & Bob and the all girls team of Jan, Chris, Di & Lyn. First place was won by Anne Guido and Mike
02.01.2022 Visit the Home Show at Wayville Showgrounds Friday April 30 to Sunday May 2nd 10 to 5. On display is more than 300 exhibits by 21 Artisans from Northern Turners. The best place to find that high quality unusual gift. Please share
02.01.2022 A most successful exhibition at the Home Show with 117 exhibits sold over the 3 days from 300 items on display. Well done Northern Turners and thank you very much to the Exhibition Committee headed by Graham Reed and the support of the committee members and exhibitors to set up and staff the display.
