05.01.2022 Latest updates from Tennis Australia

04.01.2022 Any sport may recommence in South Australia from 11 May, provided that the below requirements and recommendations are observed and followed: Sports must: B...e outdoors. Have a maximum of 10 participants in any one group (excluding necessary staff). If multiple groups of 10 or less are at the same venue (e.g. oval), the 1 person per 4 square metres must apply. Be non-contact (contact sports should be limited to non-contact skills training). Limit people on premises: no spectators should attend, except one parent/carer per player if necessary. Recommended: Stay home if unwell. Minimise use of shared equipment and facilities. Minimise co-mingling. Continue social distancing, such as keeping 1.5 metres distance from others. Get changed and shower at home. Practice good hand hygiene. Matches, competitions and indoor sports remain prohibited. For more information visit: www.covid-19.sa.gov.au/recovery

04.01.2022 Thanks to everyone's amazing efforts, South Australians have safely returned to playing the sports they love. But now is not the time to be complacent - let's k...eep up the good work and be COVIDSafe when playing sport: Stay home if you are unwell Keep 1.5 metres distance from others wherever and whenever possible Use hand sanitiser/wash your hands Wipe down all playing equipment with disinfectant before and after use Cover coughs and sneezes in your elbow Minimise touching your face BYO water bottle Download the COVIDSafe app For more information about how to stop the spread of infection, visit https://bit.ly/2XcJ7Xq

04.01.2022 Most businesses/activities allowed to reopen/recommence under Step 3 from Monday 29 June do not require a COVID Management Plan. Instead, they require a COVI...D Safe Plan (as per Step 2 and Step 2 Plus). The exception is large events of more than 1,000 persons, and events with both dancing and consumption of alcohol. [Activities that DO NOT need a new COVID Safe Plan] Businesses and defined public activities that have already completed a COVID-Safe Plan will automatically receive a new Plan outlining revised venue capacity (recalculated based on the room sizes originally supplied using the one person per two square metres rule), as well as revised obligations and/or recommendations. [Activities that DO need a new COVID Safe Plan] Businesses involved in a defined public activity re-opening for the first time will need to complete a COVID Safe Plan. Businesses that previously completed a COVID Safe Plan which intend to open additional spaces to patrons or extend the floor space of existing rooms will need to complete a new Plan containing the revised room sizes. E.g. pubs or clubs re-opening gaming rooms, wellness centres re-opening sauna, spa and/or bathing facilities, etc. [Businesses that need to create a COVID Management Plan] To have more than 1,000 people (excluding staff) on site at your business, venue, activity or gathering, you must complete a COVID Management Plan and have this Plan approved by SA Health. To have both dancing and consumption of alcohol facilitated at the premises, you must complete a COVID Management Plan. You can operate with only a COVID Safe Plan provided you do not meet either of these criteria. For example, limit patrons to under 1000, or do not facilitate dancing. When you are completing a COVID Safe Plan, you will be provided with the option to indicate that you would like to be contacted about the process for preparing a COVID Management Plan in future.
