17.01.2022 Hello Members . With the relaxation of Covid 19 restrictions, we will be reopening the club for free shooting on June 1st. This is on the proviso that the Federal & State Governments increase the attendance at facilities to 50 people . We have remained closed for a few extra weeks to ensure that the most dangerous wave of the virus has been controlled. With the opening of the club we will require all members to follow the guidelines outlined previous to the clubs closure .... Just remember the main rules when at the club & shooting : 1/ 1 Archer per target & Maintain your distance (1.5m) 2/ Don’t touch anyone else’s stuff Use the Club House sparingly ( In & Out to do your business) 3/ Wash your hands & spray whatever you touch 4/ Either Throw your target face out ( we can afford it ) or take it home with you for further use 5/ Be considerate of every other member & do not risk their health , no matter what you think about the current situation. 6/ IF YOU SUSPECT YOURSELF OF BEING COMPROMISED BY THE VIRUS IN ANY WAY , STAY HOME !!!!! 7/ Each & every member is responsible for their own conduct at the range . Socializing is fine but please maintain your social distancing We will not be running any Competitions, Classes or Come & Try’s for quite a while but we are looking at ways to continue with the club league ( You’ll be notified when we get it sorted ) . As a general guide (but not a rule) we suggest that Tuesday & Thursday become Older Members Days . This allows members of the higher risk category ( Over 50) to attend the range with lower chance of Infection. Of course Over 50’s can attend any day of the week but if your worried about contracting the virus , these are the days to attend. Let’s hope that things can go back to normal as soon as possible but until then we’ll plod along as best we can . See you all at the range & Please respect each other’s safety . 16.01.2022 In case members are wondering why we’re not rushing to reopen , it’s because there’s a lot of conflicting information coming in . No matter which Governing body is advising us , real peoples lives are still at risk . 15.01.2022 Hello Dear Members , It seems that we are on our way out of the Covid 19 lockdowns and can begin to use the club more often . Unfortunately, many people have suffered financially in the last few months & will continue to struggle as we progress through 2020 . So ,in an effort to assist our members over the next 12 months , the Committee of Northern Archers has decided to reduce every current ( Full Financial) members fees to just $9... for the year . This will only apply to current members and will come into effect on JULY 1st 2020 and last until JUNE 30th 2021. Unfortunately, we can’t change the fees being demanded from Archery Australia or Archery NSW , so these fees will still have to be paid as part of your annual fee . This Table has all the rates for members of different ages & family groups please read this carefully as it shows the Current Rates verses the NEW rate . This discount already takes into account the 3 month extension given by ANSW & AA . SEE TABLE BELOW We will also be running our Club league EVERY WEEKEND till the end of the year . The league will be run on an alternate cycle of Saturday one week then Sunday the next week . It will begin this upcoming SUNDAY . Please enter on Archers Diary as usual . Here’s the link - https://archersdiary.com/UpcomingEvents.aspx The Club league is for Northern Members only and we will only run 2 distances each week . One long distance on the main range and a short distance on the Beginners range . This means we must limit the number of Archers shooting each round to 16 shooting long range & only 6 shooting beginners distance . Our recorder will list the shoots for 1 month at at time and limit the entry numbers , so be quick to enter as it will close when we reach the entry limit . Also , please DO NOT ENTER A ROUND if you are unsure that you can make it on that day !!! We cannot afford to have people enter & then not show because you’ll be cutting other members out of the comp. If you cannot make it to a shoot you have entered please send an email to the secretary to inform him so we can allow someone else to enter . Its just Good manners . Finally , all the regular shooting rules & the COVID SAFE rules are still in place & we ask you to be extra vigilant when attending the club . We hope this helps . Hope to see you all there soon .
