23.01.2022 Great season for hydrangeas. I did a major clean out of this large bush prior to moving the bee hives next door, as I didn't think I would ever get that close again. And Leon Penrose did a man prune last year. There has never been so many flower heads.

20.01.2022 We seem to be having 4 seasons in 1 day. Dreamy skies over our valley and the pool last night. Thanks @sarahpenrose for capturing it so well.

20.01.2022 Working from home has many advantages, one being able to hear the many bird calls. The sound of a magpie's warble is quitessentially Australian. Managed to capture this songster before the rain. Have posted it on our story and highlights. @ Oxford Falls, New South Wales, Australia

18.01.2022 We made the trek to Fingal Island wading through the spit at low tide. It took a few hours and you have to be very careful of the pull of the tide as it rises again. Pristine part of the world. @ Fingal Spit

14.01.2022 We see you xx This tawny frog mouth was doing lots of night calls in the day time. We hear them a lot at night time but very rare in the day. I videoed it see on our highlights. Its hard to hear him as so many birds are around but look at his throat making the sound. It has been described as om-oom-oom with eight calls in 5 seconds

11.01.2022 Our monitor lizard has returned. Not happy as its huge and fast and will take an unassuming chook easily. Not much we can do about it as the wildlife carers say... they are very territorial and there is no way any of us are getting close to it as their claws are very dangerous, sharp and harbour bad bacteria. Just gotta keep chasing them away from the chookies. See more

09.01.2022 The rain brings out all types of nature. This eastern long necked turtle was in no man's land between our 2 dams. We decided to help him get to the top dam. As @leonpenrose picked him up we saw an old wound. Part of the shell is missing now healed but it makes it vulnerable. Amazing looking at the underside it's like a jigsaw puzzle.

08.01.2022 Enjoyed the end of a beautiful day at Shoal Bay. Just us and a cormorant diving for fish.

03.01.2022 When your first born is a long way from home and heading into a long European winter. What do you get her ? @the_oodie . I normally am not one for fads but this has just hit the spot. At least @rachpenrose will be able to stay warm xx

02.01.2022 Spent a relaxing, restorative and very informative workshop by Tash Burbury and her fabulous partner Ziggy (Tom) Burbury Whole Foods today. Our family has always viewed good food as our medicine but you never stop learning how to nourish yourself and your family. I definitely want to learn more. See my story of Tash talking about how much fun she had her cooking with her Mum Jennifer Burbury So special xx Definitely worth going to one of Tash's workshops or buying her first cookbook due to be released early next year.
