21.01.2022 Great turn out for our last evening instructional class prior to our second grading day the Saturday the 1st of May. Well done, team!

20.01.2022 What a day! On Saturday we held our 2nd Grading Day, where 19 kids and 3 adults demonstrated the BJJ techniques and NBJJA values to earn their coloured belts. We are so proud of everyone who rose to the occasion and had put in the time, effort and discipline to be recognised. The day wasn't complete without a LOT of time spent bouncing away on the jumping castle, a family class for adults and kids to enjoy together and of course, a few bevvies and bbq at the end to celebrate. Thanks to everyone who came down and supported their friends, family and training partners. We have the best community around, hands down!

Congratulations to the 19 kids and 3 adults who have demonstrated the NBJJA values and persistence to earn 4 stripes and are ready to move up to a coloured belt. We are so proud of you all. 18.01.2022 BUMMER!!! Due to the recent COVID cluster on the Northern Beaches, tomorrow’s classes are CANCELLED and our End of Year party on Saturday is POSTPONED. What a way to end 2020!... However, we’ll be announcing a new date for the GRAND OPENING PARTY of our brand new Academy shortly, as soon as we all know what’s going on. We’ll be busy bees working on a few academy improvements over the Christmas shutdown and can’t wait to welcome you back when classes resume on 4 January. Merry Christmas

16.01.2022 Now that soccer's finished , rugby's over and school holidays are already a distant memory ....it's JIU-JITSU time ! But what is jiu-jitsu? When kids come down for a free trial class at our Academy in Cromer, they usually have no idea what to expect.... Many think they're learning how to become the next Ninja Warrior, with adults expecting Mr Miyagi to teach their little Karate Kid. Well, neither are quite right. There's no vertical wall to scale BUT they will learn agility and coordination, and there's no 'wax on, wax off' hand movements, but respect and discipline are a key component....all while having fun of course! 08.01.2022 On Saturday afternoon we held our first Women's Self Defence Seminar, with 30 awesome ladies. It was such a privilege to teach some basic self defence techniques plus awareness and avoidance tips to a really proactive, engaged and fun group of women. We hope that they never need to put any of the techniques into practise, but if they do, they now have a few tools in their belt to help escape the situation. Thanks to everyone who came along and helped raise over $1000 to fund ...cancer research programs through Can Too Run and Swim.
