20.01.2022 5 December 2019 Northern Beaches Council's 2019 Christmas Choral Concert spectacular. Last night was a wonderful event at Manly Oval - with entertaining and mesmerising performances by us - the Northern Beaches Orchestra conducted by our Musical Director Dr Martin Hardy - supporting the Christmas Choral Concert Community Choir and the soloists - with a capacity crowd attending the fabulous festivities - Santa sleighed us with his humour during a flying visit - and pyrotechnics punctuated the evening providing appropriate low key and brilliant sparkling alternatives to the usual visual skyward displays - what an enjoyable great evening enabled by the Northern Beaches Council and presented by the community for the community.

19.01.2022 The Northern Beaches Orchestra warmly invites you to the 2019 Gala Concert of the Northern Beaches String Festival on Saturday 22nd of June. To match the grandeur of closing a festival that will see thousands of young and aspiring musicians grace the stage across the two weekends the Northern Beaches Orchestra will perform works by a composer whose name is synonymous with grandeur - Richard Wagner. Although originally composed for various operas, these three works showcase W...agner's ability to compose works of great symphonic beauty and complexity that have come to stand as performance pieces in their own right outside of their operatic context. The Northern Beaches Orchestra will perform Wagner's Prelude to Act 3 of Lohengrin, Forest Murmurs from Siegfried, Entrance of the Guests from Tannhäuser with support from the peninsula's premiere string groups. We hope you will join us at Pittwater High School at 7.00pm for the Gala Concert of the Northern Beaches String Festival on Saturday 22nd of June. Non-performing audience members can purchase tickets at the door for $5.00 per adult, $3.00 concession or $10.00 per family. These tickets are valid for the entire festival and entitle the holder to entry to the Gala Concert. More Information: The Gala Concert is the final session of the Northern Beaches String Festival - an annual music festival held at Pittwater High School over the course of two weekends. The Festival provides school string ensembles and other orchestras valuable performance opportunities and the chance to be appraised by expert band directors. As the closing concert of the Northern Beaches String Festival, the finale of the Gala Concert features the Northern Beaches Orchestra, supported by the region's premier community youth orchestra - the Northern Beaches Youth Orchestra as well as the most advanced string groups from across the peninsular. Non-performing audience members can purchase tickets at the door for $5.00 per adult, $3.00 concession or $10.00 per family. These tickets are valid for the entire festival and entitle the holder to entry to the Gala Concert.
