24.01.2022 DESTINATION SYDNEY | The countdown starts now!

23.01.2022 Niagara Park Stadium on the Central Coast will host the first-ever North vs South Inter Futsal Tournament on the weekend of the 28th and 29th of November 2020. Teams from AFA South Coast will play against teams from NNSW (Newcastle and Central coast) as a prelude and some practice for the upcoming AFA Nationals to be held in January 2021. NNSW Futsal is looking forward to hosting what may become an annual event and invite supporters and locals to come and watch this great game of Futsal.

22.01.2022 Great weekend of futsal and catching up with friends happened on the weekend when Teams from South Coast played against NNSW teams, Newcastle and Central Coast in the North Vs South Challenge. As a prelude to upcoming Nationals, we even put on the high temperature 40 degrees, to get players acclimatised. Thank you to all the players and parents and especially Warren Lewiston from South Coast Futsal for his cooperation in getting the event happening in such a short time. For the records South coast, pictured won the Youth group as well as the under 15 both against Central Coast. Central coast beat Newcastle in the under 12 while Newcastle won the 15 Girls over South coast and Newcastle Under 15 team won the under 16 age group. Well done to all.

21.01.2022 It is with much sadness that we inform our members, that our CEO, George Poulos' father in law, Frank, has lost his battle with cancer and passed away in his sleep in the early hours of this morning. We at NNSW Futsal wish to send our condolences to George, Carynne and family.

20.01.2022 Newcastle Regional Futsal finished yesterday with 22 Primary school teams competing. In the under 10 Boys Newcastle grammar school beat St Joseph Merewether 4 to 2 while in the under 12 Newcastle Grammar school beat newcomers Waratah Public and to top the day off for Newcastle Grammar School the under 12 Girls won their finals 2 to 1 over St Josephs Merewether. Well done to all teams. All were well behaved and all seemed to have a fun day. Next week is Hunter Valley turn at Maitland Basketball and again huge numbers in the primary school stage. It is great to see more people are learning how great the game of Futsal is and we thank all the schools in their support..

17.01.2022 The final day at Central coast Regional Futsal Yesterday saw a record number of schools enter with lots of fun had by all participants. Congratulations to all the teams that participated at the Central Coast Futsal regionals. Regulars Wyong Christian Community school won the Under 10 boys from regular rivals Kariong Public. In the 12 Boys, Kariong Public triumphed over Killarney Vale Public school. In the under 12 Girls new school to the regional, Avoca Beach Public, won their Grand Final from Wyong Christian Community. All six teams will now prepare to play the best primary schools from Newcastle Hunter Valley and Macquarie regions in June for Futsal State Championship honours.

12.01.2022 PETER CABAN MEMORIAL CUP | The inaugural Peter Caban Cup will be competed for on the weekend of 5th and 6th December, as part of the NEWCASTLE CUP. Teams fr...om Newcastle, Armidale, Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie and Central Coast will converge on Niagara Park stadium for a full weened of futsal. Age groups being competed for are 10,12,14 and 16 year boys, 14 girls, Open Men and Open Women. The Open Women will be competing for the Peter Caban Cup, an area of the sport Peter was passionate about. Peter was involved in the sport nearly 20 years and led many overseas touring teams as well as coaching state teams in North Queensland, Victoria, Northern NSW and ACT. RIP Peter. Northern NSW Futsal is also holding a challenge day against South Coast Futsal this weekend at Niagara Park, a challenge planned to be on the annual calendar.

12.01.2022 We are starting to get orders in for our new Merchandising shirt. Attached is the best zoom up we can do. The main difference is design 1 has "Have you got what it takes " logo around NNSW logo while 2nd design doesn't Just have the NNSW Logo. Newcastle clubs will have one sample shirt to show anyone interested, Central Coast will get samples on the weekend for the two clubs BUT you must order before the deadline to ensure you have for Xmas. 12.01.2022 Local coaching association AFCCA has joined with NNSW Futsal to co-host a FREE ‘Football V’s Futsal’ Coaching Seminar to be held at Boolaroo Bowling Club, Eighth Street Boolaroo on Sunday 15th November 2020 from 1.00pm to 4.30pm. The seminar will include theory and practical futsal coaching content and is aimed at football clubs to see what Futsal is all about. Response from local clubs has been amazing. We still have some limited spots available for any football club committee person or coach to attend on behalf of their club. Please indicate your interest by emailing our secretary....... 10.01.2022 On the weekend of the 5th and 6th of December, NNSW Futsal will be holding the Inaugural Newcastle Cup, a Men's, Women's and Junior tournament. NNSW will name one of these Cups in the Women's tournament, the Peter Caban Memorial Cup, to the memory of this great man who did his all when coaching from grass roots Futsal, to Representative State and International teams. His memory will live long to those who knew him and we hope this gesture will make the memory of Peter Caban live on for all players.

02.01.2022 Niagara Park Stadium on the Central Coast will also host the first-ever NNSW Futsal /NEWCASTLE CUP Tournament on the weekend of the 5th and 6th of December 2020. Seven teams from Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie , Central Coast and Newcastle will play against each other with the men and women senior teams playing for the Newcastle Trophy . This will become an annual event to bring teams from around the state to our regions. Both tournaments have been endorsed by our governing body Australian Futsal Association .

Please Note: These venue allocations are subject to change. Current covid restrictions in the playing venues allow for only 1 spectator per player to attend. More information regarding Covid requirements for each venue will be detailed closer to the event. Hills Basketball Stadium, Caterson Drive Castle Hill - 12 Boys, 13 Boys & 14 Boys Note: The 12 Boys, 13 Boys & 14 Boys will play at Hills on Saturday, Sunday and Monday and will move to Penrith for Finals day on Tuesday.
