16.01.2022 On Saturday, we were invited to attend the Epiroc Family day, and two of our NPLW players were more than happy to test out some of the "toys" on display! The support given to the club by this multinational company has been amazing, and we are extremely thankful for everything they have done for us this season. Football West

16.01.2022 Is this the weekend Murdoch University Melville Football Club become the first NPLWA Women's champions? A win on Sunday over Hyundai NTC will all but do the job.... One side out of title contention are Northern Redbacks Womens Soccer Club. But, as head coach Conrad McKelvie explains, there are still positives to take from their injury-hit campaign. Preview: https://bit.ly/3mMOrf8

16.01.2022 Our teams had some very good results this weekend, with wins for both our junior teams, our Metro Team and our Amateurs. Our NPLW U23's put up a good fight, but their opponents were too good for them on the day, whilst our NPLW side had a terrific win on Friday night. Congratulations are also due to our fantastic volunteers who coached, officiated, set up the pitches and manned the canteen. Without your support, the teams couldn't get to play week in and week out. Also a big thank you to all the official referees and lines people without whom there would be no game. Football West Epiroc

16.01.2022 Its the final game day of the season, and there are still some really important games for our teams. Our NPLW and U23 teams both played yesterday against Curtin University Football Club winning 21- and 4-0 respectively. For the NPLW team, there's now a nervous wait to see what the result is of the game between NTC and Perth SC today. If Perth gets a draw or win then our team will play in the top 4 finals, so we're keeping our fingers crossed. For the U23's they have to wait... on the result of the NTC vs Perth game, but only to see if they finish 2nd or 3rd. Congratulations to them on a fantastic season! In the Amateurs, we travel to Curtin again where we take on the 3rd placed team. If we win by 2 goals or more, then we move temporarily to the top of the table and then have to wait and see if Fremantle City lose in their game later in the day to see if we have won the league. If we lose then Curtin will jump into second place so its all to play for today. Good luck girls! Whatever the result, you've had an amazing season and congratulations to you and coach Shane Atkins. In the Metro league, its first vs second as we make the short trip to Hamersley Rovers Soccer Club to take on the league leaders. We need to win or draw this one to ensure we finish in second spot, so best of luck girls. The season has been brilliant for you and coach Michael Rosa, well done! The 18's have now finished their season, as their opponents, Perth Saints FC has forfeited the game. They have finished second in their league on goal difference, despite having a +73 difference! Congratulations girls and coach Cam Roberstons on a fantastic season. The U16's play Fremantle City Women and Girls and are currently sitting second on goal difference behind Murdoch University Melville Football Club The difference is just one goal, so this is going to be a huge game for our girls. Whatever happens though, they've had a fantastic season and we congratulate them and coach Carlos Vega Mena. Finally. the U14's take on Aubin Grove United in their final game The girls will finish 3rd in their league and have had a tough week this week when they took part in the @Footballwest Country Week, playing 2 games a day for 3 days against representative teams from around the State. They have also had a stellar season, and we send our congratulations to them and their coach Stephen Farrell. 14.01.2022 Best of luck to Morgan Aquino, who will be teaming up with Kim Carroll in Brisbane to play for the Roar.

13.01.2022 Congratulations to Northern Ireland on their win against Belarus. Both Demi Vance and Nadene Caldwell started the game, and they now need a win against the Faroe Islands on Tuesday to seal a place in the playoffs for a spot in the UEFA Women's Euro Championships in England in 2022.

13.01.2022 Fantastic to see Football West tapping into an area that could be a rich source of talent.

13.01.2022 It is official. Our Women’s NPL team are the inaugural 2020 NPLW League champions. Our ladies defeated NTC 3-1 today to secure the league title.... This is a landmark achievement in Western Australian football. Unbelievable effort from all those at the club involved getting the NPLW team established. A massive congratulations to the players and Coach Pete. The performances alone meant the league title was fully deserved. The ladies stood up to the challenge of playing for a new club in 2020, and not only performed consistently on the field, but also took opportunities to help out in other sections of the club. Can’t ask for any more than that Enjoy the well earned success ladies

12.01.2022 The penultimate round of the season has thrown up some exciting and challenging games for our teams. In the NPLW our 1st team host Perth SC with the visitors sitting in second place and our team in 5th. Nothing more than 3 points will suffice for us if we are to keep our faint hopes of making the top 4 alive, but it won't be easy against a team that has only lost one game in its last 5 matches, although we did win against them in the last league game and also in the night ser...ies. In the U23's our team are guaranteed a spot in the top 4 and we are incredibly proud of their efforts this season, having only lost one game all season so far. They also entertain Perth who is in 4th. For both teams, this will be their last home game at Olympic Kingsway Sports Club so please come down and support them, and if you can't get there then remember the NPLW game will be on the @Footballwest Facebook and Youtube pages. Our Amateur side has a HUGE game on Sunday with the league title in the balance when they host Fremantle City Football Club We are currently in 2nd spot just 3 points behind Fremantle and if we can win by 2 clear goals then we will go top of the table with just one round to go. The game kicks off at 11am at Celebration Park so let's see if we can't get some support to help our fantastic side get over the line! In the Metro League, it's also 1st vs second with our 2nd placed team making the short trip to Hamersley Rovers Soccer Club to take on the league leaders. They have a game in hand on our team, but if we can beat them then we will finish our season in style and sit on top of the ladder waiting for results from the last round to see if we have won the league. Come on girls!! In the juniors, our second-placed U18's travel to Western Knights Soccer Club knowing that three points will draw them level with the league leaders with just 1 game to go. Another big game for our highly talented U18's You can do this! Our U14's have the longest trip of the day when they go down to Baldivis Soccer Club where they will be hoping to continue their fantastic season. They sit third in their table and have been playing some great football this year. Our U16's have a bye this week. Good luck to all the teams, and we hope everyone has a great long weekend! See more

11.01.2022 Last week Football West announced the squads for the NTC for the 2021 season. We are incredibly proud of the players from our U14's and U16's teams who were selected as either full time or associate players. Congratulations to Tara Meeres (U13's), Angelique Clayton, Charlotte Oliver (U14's), Taya Coates (U14's associate) and Natalia Vega-Mena (U15's associate) on your achievement! We also send our congratulations to our class of 2019 who have been re-selected, Alkira Mogridge, Jaye O'Donohoe, Jenna Harnwell, Kendra Rosa, Sophie Meaden (U15's) and Grace Monteiro (U19's associate).

11.01.2022 Highlights from our Round 13 match in the NPLW WA league are now available. A solid team performance with a brace from Sarah Carroll and one from Carla Bennett sealed the win.

10.01.2022 Congratulations to Tiahna Atkins on her Golden Boot award for the Women's Amateur League. She scored 31 goals during a stellar season both for her and her team who finished second in the league.

10.01.2022 Both our U23's and NPLW teams will be at Murdoch University on Thursday evening. The U23's play NTC at 6pm and our 1st team take on the league champions at 8pm. Good luck to both teams!

06.01.2022 WOW! What a way to finish the season, with a big W in every results column for our teams over the weekend. The NPLW teams kicked us off on Saturday, winning 2-1 and 4-0 to finish their seasons in style. With NTC and Perth drawing on Sunday this means our NPLW side join the U23's in the top 4 Finals. Congratulations to all players and coaches Conrad McKelvie and Greg Farrell. In the Amateurs, our youthful team snagged a 2-1 win and ensured they finished second. Given the age o...f the team, this is a remarkable achievement and we send our congratulations to the players and coach Shane Atkins. The Metro team capped over their amazing season with an excellent win against the previously unbeaten league champions. As with the Amateur side, this is a very young side playing in an adult competition and we congratulate the players and coach Michael Rosa. Our U18's have had an amazing season also, finishing second on goal difference only. Congratulations to the players and coach Cam Robertson on the fantastic year. In the U16's our team also finished second on goal difference and like all our teams, they have been playing some amazing football. Congratulations to the players and coach Carlos Vega Mena. Finally, our U14's capped off an exhausting week for them with a convincing win to secure third spot. Our youngest team have done us proud and we send our congratulations to all the players and coach Stephen Farrell. 06.01.2022 Yesterday was the penultimate round of games for this Covid19 affected season, and once again our teams were involved in some terrific games. Our NPLW side took all three points in their game with Sarah Carroll scoring a brace and Carla Bennett adding a third. There were also first-team league debuts for Kaitlin Bellanca and Emily Roach. The win means we now sit 5th in the table behind the 4th placed team on goal difference. We have to win next week and hope our result is bet...ter than the NTC in order to gain a spot in the top 4. In the U23's we won 1-0 through a Charlotte Taylor goal to cement our spot in second place, and the team is now looking forward to Top 4 finals football. Congratulations! The Amateurs had an incredibly tight game and drew 1-1 against the league leaders. The title is still up for grabs for the team, but they have to win their last game of the season and hope results in other games go their way. Whatever happens, they have had a fantastic season and we are very proud of them. In the juniors, our U18's had a resounding 9-2 win and are second in the ladder on goal difference. In any other season, a GD of 73 would be more than enough to win the league, but the team ahead of them has a GD of 102!. No matter what happens next week this has been another amazing season for the side and we are delighted for them and send our congratulations to coach Cameron Robertson on a fantastic job. The U14's continued their impressive season with a 4-2 win, and this sets them up nicely for the Football West Country Week competition when they will be taking on representative sides from the Goldfields, Albany and the Country Coastal region. 06.01.2022 Congratulations to Demi Vance and Nadene Caldwell on your selection in the Northern Ireland National Team for the upcoming UEFA Women's Euro Qualifiers against Belarus and the Faroe Islands in the next couple of weeks. 03.01.2022 "Futsal is set for dramatic reform after Football Federation Australia signalled its intent to assume greater control of the indoor sport to combat the influenc...e of unregulated private operators. The move comes as a direct response to the Herald's report on the state of futsal in Australia - and in particular the conduct of the Australian Futsal Association (AFA), which is refusing to provide refunds to thousands of families who had paid for international tours that were scrapped because of COVID-19."
