25.01.2022 Congratulations to Taato Murdoch, who completed his first solo this week. Taato hails from Kiribati in the Pacific Ocean, and has taken up flying as both a hobby, and a way to help pass the time before he can return home. He did an awesome job on his solo, complete with two great landings, and we think his smile says it all! #nrac #aeroclub #congratulations #firstsolo #pilot #aviation #flighttraining #learntofly #flying

16.01.2022 It's not strictly aviation news, but we think it's definitely worth sharing! A massive congratulations to Nathan Herne, who will be making his V8 Supercars debut at the Bathurst 1000 this year. Nathan, along with his father Stuart, have been familiar faces around the Club this year, training towards their Private Pilot Licences with Garry (Nathan's uncle) in his CT-4.... Congratulations Nathan- it's awesome to see your hard work and determination paying off, and all of us at the Club are looking forward to watching the race and cheering you on!

16.01.2022 What better way to spend a Friday evening! Kick back at NRAC, look out over the airfield and enjoy some drinks, snacks and good company. All members and friends are welcome - we’d be more than happy to have you!... #nrac #aeroclub #snacks #fridaydrinks #aviation #flighttraining #learntofly

08.01.2022 Very historic day at Lismore airport with the reenactment of the test airmail flight. It commemorates the first government-sanctioned test airmail flight in Australia, which took place 100 years ago, on 26 June 1920. Lt Frank Roberts and Royal Mail contractors Walter and James Lynn flew an Avro 504K 105 kilometres, from Lismore to Tenterfield, via Casino, in New South Wales, to deliver around 8,000 letters.

05.01.2022 The Club has made a surprise appearance in the latest edition of the Australian Aviation magazine! There's also a photo containing a past student of the club in this edition too. Aero Clubs definitely are a great place to start your pilot training journey!... #nrac #flighttraining #aeroclub #aviation #pilot #australianaviation #famous

03.01.2022 Congratulations to Nathan Parker, one of our RA-Aus Senior Instructors, who recently achieved his Commercial Pilot Licence. Nathan first learnt to fly with the club in 2011 before joining the RAAF as a pilot trainee in 2014. In 2015, Nathan returned to the club to re-learn to fly after losing a hand in a military bus accident. His journey has now come full circle, having become a Senior Instructor at NRAC and completing his CPL training with the club. Congratulations Nathan- ...your journey has been inspiring to watch, and we love having you on the team. #nrac #aeroclub #commercialpilotlicence #flighttraining #achievement #aviation #pilot #inspiration

03.01.2022 A big congratulations to Joshua Parkyn who completed his first solo this afternoon. 02.01.2022 Our J-170 meets a trainer of a very different kind, with this stunning PZL TS-11 Iskra, a Polish jet trainer, out and about in Lismore yesterday. 02.01.2022 A big congratulations to Dudi and Eyal Partush for successfully completing their first solos recently. 02.01.2022 The Club has the privilege of hosting a special aircraft in the hangar tonight...a stunning Gypsy Moth! This beautiful Gypsy Moth was flown into Lismore today by Bill Finlen, in preparation for the re-enactment tomorrow in celebration of the centenary of Australia's first sanctioned air mail flight. This historic air mail flight occurred in 1920, and saw mail flown from Lismore-Casino-Tenterfield....
