24.01.2022 What a fabulous end to a week with some local craft workshops B.Grounded wreath making, thank you so much ladies for the oppurtunity and guidance, I had no idea I could create something so pretty and Susan Born in Paper what fabulous creations you helped us make. I can't wait to use them with our gift packs, and finally just a little sneak peak of what we have been creating at home with our garlic. Even the sun agreed with our colour choice for the week and drifted away with a stunning show of pink . #ontheflipsideofthefires

20.01.2022 This beautiful drenching rain, deserves some delicious comfort food. #roastedgarlic is delicous as a side or even smudged on a biscuit, and who can really go past that home baked smell of garlic. Simply #delish by the very talented @nelly_foto How to...... Simply cut the top off a @northern_rivers_garlic bulb exposing the cloves. Drizzle with some olive oil (we love @grumpygrandmas . Lightly season and sprinkle with thyme or your favourite herb and bake in a 180C oven until cloves are soft. Feel free to tag us in your own baked garlic pics See more

16.01.2022 So whilst we were waiting to harvest the garlic a few weeks ago, we decided to plant some #watermelon and #pumpkin seedlings from @lismore_garden_centre . To say they went berzerk would be an understatement. I know, I know we are meant to be garlic growers, but ever since I was little we would plant pumpkin and watermelon seeds in our log burn piles from winter. Then by chrisi we would be feasting on watermelon and roasted pumpkin. But as we didn't get to burn anything last winter I still had the urge to use up some left over row, luckily with dripperline still laid. The result is overwhelming and the #bees, well I'm not quite sure how they still flew after loading up from the flowers. Some may make #christmas gifts, whilst others are only just flowering. There really is nothing more fulfilling then growing food.
15.01.2022 That's right, our garlic is a long storer, both because of the variety and we don't refrigerate it like the supermarkets. Allowing you to order in bulk once, so you always have #garlic on hand for cooking or medicinal purposes. Simply store it in our bags or in a dark, aerated location, like you would potatoes. 14.01.2022 And then there was 1....After 4 long days of harvesting, we made it. 1/2 tonne of Elephant garlic is hand picked, processed, stacked and now curing for the next 4-6 weeks. And of course school holidays began the day I finishedso no child labour has been utilised in the making of your garlic, next year's will be planned better though In the meantime we will be adding a few new little treasures to our garlic products..stay tuned!!

01.01.2022 Our last harvest of #scapes today. You can use both the stem and flower heads for cooking. They are even lovely in a vase as a flower display. The weather lately has been confusing the poor garlic, some flowered without actually growing out of the stem. We love the purple colouring of the flowers . ...
