19.01.2022 While fitting a new Minn Kota Terrova to the boat the other day I heard a possum screaming followed by a loud thud. I raced over to see a python strangling a large possum. The snake must have crash tackled the possum in the tree and they both fell to the ground. The snake wasn't about to let go of its prey. Even though the possum was a little bigger than the snake. At first I thought I should save the possum, but decided to let mother nature play her hand. The possum was killed in about 1 minute. Over the next 2 hours the snake tried to swallow its meal. But eventually conceded the possum was just too big. I put the camera away and returned to working on my boat. Unbelievably I heard another scream. The snake had found another possum! This time a much smaller one. The python had no trouble swallowing this one.

10.01.2022 Day #13 of the KOTD Tour. The best thing you can do when fishing a new destination is to hire a fishing guide. It can take weeks, even years and thousands of $$ to figure out how to catch fish at a new spot, so hiring a guide is money well spent. Today we fished the morning and arvo session with Justin Nye from @gladstoneflyandsportfishing. The knowledge he gave us willingly was invaluable. He took us straight to the fish where we could literally see hundreds of big Barra o...n the Garmin Panoptix. Second cast in and huge Barra snapped my 40lb braid like cotton. Dusted again!! Harry and I ended the morning session with a 60cm fish each. Stoked we both got barra on National Barramundi Day. For the afternoon session we spot locked on a weedy point and cast Molix 140's soft plastics. As dark approached I was lucky to connect with one of these silver giants. This time the hooks stayed connected and as she slid into the net I knew I finally had the fish I came here for. A 94cm silver slab.

06.01.2022 Last Day of the KOTD Tour! Headed to a secluded inlet this morning to fish the edge of the weedy flats @codswallop70 was absolutely stoked to pin a very nice bazza on our last day in a location with such a scenic back drop. What great finish to a fantastic trip!
