07.01.2022 NEWSFLASH: Region 5 Championships Postponed !!! Due to the extreme weather conditions we are currently experiencing and the forecast of up to 150m of rain on both Saturday and Sunday, the Region 5 Committee has had to make the unfortunate decision that for the safety and wellbeing of all athletes and officials, the Region 5 carnival must be postponed. The Region Committee are currently in discussion with the Office of Sport and Recreation to secure the use of the track next w...eekend, Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 February and there is a slight possibility some events may be held on Friday evening February 14th. We will pass on any new information as soon as we can.

05.01.2022 There has been some confusion around the recent easing of restrictions for community sports in NSW. The ONLY thing that has changed is the removal of the "one parent per child" rule - we are still obliged to adhere to the 500-person limit, including all athletes, volunteers and spectators. https://www.sport.nsw.gov.au/novel-coronavirus-covid-19

05.01.2022 There is a bushfire burning just off Delhi Rd - but we have been told it is under control and so will be proceeding with the carnival as planned. It is nice and cool down here this morning.

04.01.2022 We're in for a few very wet days over our Regional Championship weekend. The event will proceed as planned, but please be prepared for delays and some individual events may need to be postponed if we cannot possibly run them this weekend. There is no option to postpone the entire event because the track is unavailable the following Saturday and we must complete our Region event by the 16th of Feb. Allow plenty of extra travel time - and check Live Traffic NSW for road closure...s - heavy falls can cause Wakehurst Parkway to be closed which means you may need to travel the long way around via Dee Why and Collaroy. Most importantly - please be patient with the event organisers, officials and helpers - they are all volunteers and deserve our respect, especially in difficult circumstances. Please read this important wet weather information for more details: http://www.nslac.com.au//champion/2020RegionWetWeather.pdf

04.01.2022 It's a beautiful morning but it is going to be a hot one today. Make sure the kids (and parents!) have hats sunscreen and plenty of water.

04.01.2022 Congratulations to all of our NSLAC State Representatives and good luck at the Little Athletics NSW State Championships on the weekend!
