22.01.2022 Property charges, Cairns and Northern Beaches: A 37-year-old Cassowary Coast man has been arrested and charged after he was located by police at a Lake Street u...nit yesterday afternoon. It will be alleged the man was wanted in relation to the unlawful entry of a Lake Street business on November 28 and the theft of car keys and a vehicle from the business. The man was also allegedly wanted in relation to the theft of groceries from an Abbott Street grocery store at around 1pm on November 28. Following investigations, police identified the man and tracked him to the Lake Street Unit. Whilst making inquiries at the unit complex it will be alleged the 37-year-old man returned home with an electric scooter allegedly stolen from Clifton Beach overnight. The 37-year-old man was dropped at the residence in the stolen car which was tracked by officers to an Earlville shopping centre car park. A 37-year-old Mareeba woman and a 35-year-old River Heads man were arrested as they attempted to get back into the stolen car. The 37-year-old man was charged with two counts of entering a premises, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, unlicenced driving, stealing and receiving tainted property. He is scheduled to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court today. The 37-year-old Mareeba woman was charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle and possession of drug utensils. She is scheduled to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on December 12. The 35-year-old man was charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle, he is scheduled to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on December 16.

06.01.2022 Woman charged over robbery and drug incidents, Far North: A 28-year-old Holloways Beach woman was charged yesterday in relation to her alleged involvement in se...veral matters presently under police investigation. Smithfield detectives spoke with the woman yesterday in relation to matters including: - the supply of cannabis to another person on May 28; - possession of a dangerous drug at Smithfield on May 29; - the robbery of a man at Mutchilba on May 29. - the unlawful use of motor vehicles at Mareeba and Mutchilba on May 29. Three men aged 27, 32 and 40 have already been charged in relation to some of the incidents. The woman was issued with a notice to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on July 27. She faces a total of six offences including robbery whilst armed and in company, possession of a dangerous drug, supplying a dangerous drug, and three counts of unlawful use of motor vehicles. Investigations into the incidents are continuing.
