A rough night for the Pies as the Tigers were simply too strong with Liam Holt-Fitz starring in the forward line. That puts Nightcliff at 6-1 as they climb the ladder. #territoryfooty

24.01.2022 Nine rounds played, nine left to go. Here's the Men's and Women's Premier League ladders at the halfway point of the season. 24.01.2022 Half time Men's Premier League: Wanderers FC Darwin 7.3.45 lead Darwin Buffaloes Football Club 2.3.15. Wanderers looked smooth from the outset in their battle to win their first Nungalinya Cup for Indigenous Round. Stanley Tipiloura kicked the Muk Muks off scoring two in under four minutes, followed by a sleek passage of play between Dane McFarlane and Warwick Williams through to Brett Eddy who bombed it through the middle from just inside the 50. Eddy then backed it up with ...a second in the 16th minute. Brodie Foster gave the Buffaloes a glimpse but slipped on goal from a set shot. The Buffs kept up their presence, making sure they had the numbers in the middle of the ground and got the ball back through to Foster who missed his second, this time a difficult banana from the boundary, which came off a short attempt at goal by Patrick Bowles. Going into quarter time the Buffaloes closed off on their first goalless quarter of the season, trailing by 23. Eddy opened the second term kicking his third just shy of the goal square after taking a mark from Dray Thompson. The Buffaloes quickly turned the ball around and kick started their game off a goal by Ishmael Palmer. A scrappy contest followed as the Muk Muks vied to get the ball back down their end. The Buffs worked hard to open up the play, working the ball down to the 50 but struggled to convert. Wanderers flexed their strength in response with Beau O’Connell kicking a dribble through the middle. Captain Jarrod Stokes watched the ball closely and swooped in to take an opportune goal of the back of a dropped ball. Wanderers made a quick response through Joel Cubillo with an intercept mark inside 50 taking the game through to half time where Wanderers led by 30. #territoryfooty

21.01.2022 time Men’s Premier League in CFS Gear Umpiring Round: St Mary's Football Club 9.4.58 lead Tiwi Bombers Football Club 5.3.33. Tiwi opened the match with the opening clearance and score, but it was the Saints who kicked the first goal through Jackson Paine. Both teams then went goal for goal with Kurt Dunn kicking the next, then Jackson Paine, before Tiwi kicked the last three of the quarter through Gibson Turner, Baydon Nglakin and Dion Munkara. The highlight of the quarter ...was John Tipiloura taking a massive hanger. The score at quarter time was St Mary’s 2.2.14 trailing Tiwi Bombers 4.2.26. St Mary’s kicked into gear in the second quarter with Beau Tedcastle kicking a goal in the first thirty seconds in his debut Premier League match, with the whole team getting around him. 19.01.2022 Time Women’s Premier League in CFS Gear Umpiring Round: Southern Districts Crocs 2.2.14 trail Waratah Football Club NT 4.3.27 The first quarter started off in wet and slippery conditions as a storm rolled through and drenched Norbuilt Oval, but that didn’t stop Southern Districts’ Tayla Thorn from getting the scoring started with a nice goal, four minutes in. from there Districts and Waratah both kicked goals in the trying conditions, Waratah through Monet Hunter, and the C...rocs through power forward Kelsey Patterson. The score at quarter time, Districs 2.2.14 to Waratah 1.0.6. Waratah were quick to score after the break, with quick delivery into their 50 resiulting in a good goal under pressure. From there Waratah started to control the game, constantly driving the ball into their attacking 50, Ebony Miller and Megan Craufurd were solid down back, but eventually Tahs broke through to kick the next two goals, through Danica Pederson and Jenna Singh, to go into half time with a 13 point lead. #territoryfooty See more

18.01.2022 Full Time Women’s Premier League in CFS Gear Umpiring Round: Southern Districts Crocs 4.4.28. draw with Waratah Football Club NT 4.4.28. The heavens opened up again after half time, creating tough conditions for scoring, as evident by the single behind kicked by each side during the third quarter, with Districts seemingly having more of the ball, but found it hard to capitalise on their opportunities. Waratah lead at the last break by 13 points. The final quarter started with a Crocs goal, as they put pressure on the Tahs ball carriers through the middle of the ground creating a turn-over that resulted in six points. With only minutes to go, Michala Shaw crumbed a brilliant goal to level the scores at 28 points each. In the end, the season’s first draw was a fitting result for last season’s Grand Final rematch. #territoryfooty

17.01.2022 Full Time Men’s Premier League: Wanderers FC Darwin 14.5.89 defeated Darwin Buffaloes Football Club 5.9.39. A lively and passionate winners’ song from Wanderers tonight after their solid win against the Buffs. Wanderers’ Dane McFarlane started the second half off with a bang after picking up the ball from the edge of the square on the defensive side, then running the length of the ground through to kick a goal from 40 metres out. Eddie Simpson followed suit thumping his first... goal in the NTFL. Jarrod Stokes responded for the Buffs with some quick side steps followed by his second major. Mitchell Taylor soccered the ball across the goal face on the right boundary where Dray Thompson scooped it up with one hand to kick a freak goal. Brett Eddy kept the fire burning with his fourth, taking Wanderers to a 55-point lead. Both sides struggled to score for the remainder of the quarter, only kicking behinds. Brydan Hodgson soared like an eagle 20 seconds before the siren and almost took mark of the season but instead fell on top of Eddy which didn’t do much damage as the Eagles still led by 52. The Buffaloes played better in the final term, but Wanderers didn’t let them get too far. The Buffaloes had a chance at goal in the first five minutes then again at the seven minute mark, however missed both opportunities. The Buffaloes worked well getting the ball inside their 50 but Wanderers young gun Ronald Fejo did plenty of work to send it out the other way. The Buffs’ efforts soon paid off with Dylan Gordon scoring off a mark from Aaron Stokes. Bretty Eddy sealed the deal for Wanders kicking his fifth on the siren to win the Muk Muks the Nungalinya Cup in its second year for Indigenous Round at TIO Stadium. #territoryfooty

13.01.2022 Full-Time Men's Division 1 in CFS Gear Umpiring Round: Waratah Football Club NT 10.7.67 defeated Southern Districts Crocs 6.4.40. A six goal to two first half from Waratah set them up perfectly to continue their hot start to the 2020/21 season with a comfortable win in hot and muggy conditions. With such slippery conditions, possession retention in the first half was key to Tahs victory, and despite Southern Districts out scoring them in the second half, Waratah were never really challenged #territoryfooty

07.01.2022 Four NTFL MRP charges have been laid following Round 9.

06.01.2022 Time Men’s Premier League in CFS Gear Umpiring Round: Southern Districts Crocs 7.4.46. lead Waratah Football Club NT 4.3.27. Southern Districts started fast, kicking the first goal in under 90 seconds through Brandon Rusca as they put Waratah under immense pressure from the the first ball up. Luke Kiel kicked the Crocs second goal minutes later after receiving a hand ball on the run at full speed, then kicking truly to have his side 12 points up in the blink of an eye. Dist...ricts would kick one more goal after the quarter time siren to lead 3.2.20 to Waratah 0.2.2. A goalless first quarter not the start Tahs were hoping for. Déjà vu for Waratah as Southern Districts forward Bradley Vallance kicked his first goal of the game, followed shortly by a clever goal from James Bell. Eventually Waratah found their range with two quick goals from Brock Oliver and goal kicking midfielder Jake Sutton, to finally give their side some scoreboard presence. From there both sides traded goals with Sutton kicking his second and Jae McGrath his first for Tahs, and Districts kicking the last goal of the first half right on the siren. #territoryfooty See more

03.01.2022 A big inclusion for the St Mary's Football Club Division 2 side today with Xavier Clarke playing his first game of footy (and first NTFL game) since January 201...6.
