15.01.2022 Yesterday I had the pleasure to join the members and friends of the North Vikings Inline Hockey Club for the Viking Cup competition at the Town of Gawler's Gawl...er Sports & Recreation Centre. During the presentations club member Peter King was awarded a life membership for his contributions to the club over the last 10 years. The award was presented by his dad, Brian King the first president of the club. Brian is a former CEO of NAWMA. Current President Michael Kalambokas and Vice President Trent Wandel were also on hand to make the presentation. Well done Peter. 14.01.2022 Congratulations to today’s 2021 Honours List recipients, with special mention to all those who volunteer their time and skills to help others. Volunteerism is a powerful way of building social cohesion and community participation.

13.01.2022 Do you have a spare hour to volunteer with MYSA this Sunday? They are doing our biggest drive yet to make sure food and essential medication reaches vulnerable... families in self isolation. With over 4,000 families in SA still quarantining at home-we need one final push to get them over the line! If you can read a shopping list, pack a box or drive a car MYSA needs you! In exchange they promise community impact, terrible dad jokes, and one of Fatima’s amazing curries once the job is done. Please email [email protected] for drive details and on-site coordination.
12.01.2022 Congratulations to all the winners and nominees!!

Despite the impact of a pandemic, in the past year Rainbow Volunteers S.A members have taken the time to attend workshops surrounding mental health, wellbeing and the fundamentals of Volunteering as well as attend events in our local and wider Adelaide LGBTQIA+ community. The time they have contributed, along with the skills and connections they have gained, has not only created a positive change in themselves for years to come but also for the community they proudly belong to #NVW2021 See more

01.01.2022 SMART BOARDS available My school has replaced a number of Smart boards that have been replaced last week. They are going to landfill if no schools take them. Th...ese are large electronic touch screen smart boards. They cost $6K each. They come with side speakers, electric pens and tray, overhead projector and the hard drive. They are massive computers essentially. They are free to anyone, any organisation or group that can collect them. They work, there is nothing wrong with them. They are 10 years old and like most things they have a lot of life left in them. I don't want to see these fo to landfill. Thanks for reading :) See more
