16.01.2022 Only 2 weeks to start of square dancing. Beginners welcome starting Thursday 6/2/2020 at 4.30pm-5.30pm. Stay on and socialise with dinner at the Club.

16.01.2022 The Waves have cancelled their dancing till after Easter due to the coronavirus COVID-19.

15.01.2022 Square dancing at Lismore Heights is now in recess until further notice. With the new social distancing rule of 4sqm, its becoming more impossible to sq dance.

14.01.2022 Lismore Heights Sports Club is opening up to the community, unfortunately, square dancing is still not open. Until the 4sq metre rule is relaxed, square dancing is not viable. But, of course, you can catch up on all good things square dancing by watching videos and hopefully, dancing by September at The Heights.

12.01.2022 Hope everybody is safe and well - Catchup 3. I know exactly when I went into lockdown. March 10, my cataract operation. So, I am not likely to forget that. There is still no joy in when we will be back to square dancing. Unfortunately, the 4sqm rule still applies, even though a lot of clubs and halls are re-opening. I contacted the Alstonville Uniting Church, and they will welcome us back as soon as safety allows, and the same goes for Lismore Heights Bowls Club. John and I h...ave dined a few times at the club, and also take-away pizzas, they still have the 4sqm protocols in place, but they are functioning For those that might have known Nancy Welch, she passed away in June (not from COVID-19). Nancy danced at the Coffs Squares Club. She had just celebrated her 90th birthday last year with a birthday cake at the club. SARDA is still mailing out the Lets Go Dancing Magazine. You should be receiving the July magazine. Those that have renewed their membership only will receive August’s magazine and then that will be the final copy. Only those that have renewed membership & magazine will continue to receive the magazine. Otherwise the magazine can be downloaded from the SARDA website. I have attached the July magazine as a just in case anybody has not renewed. John and I are driving around the area, just to get out of the house and because a lot of areas are now opening up, and today we drove to Rocky Creek Dam. I have never been there. The road is a bit challenging, as its narrow with many twists and turns, but the Dam area itself is a very pretty with a beautiful picnic area and electric BBQ’s. I am teaching myself chess, now that’s challenging, almost as challenging as being a square dance caller. Facebook has great news on all the square-dancing clubs around Australia ;;;;;; SARDA is keeping everyone up-to-date with NSW Govt COVID-19 news, and ;;;;;;;; ZOOM.com for meetings.

08.01.2022 First night back last Thursday. Afraid the floods and rains kept some away. But still had a good afternoon.

07.01.2022 Finished for the year, fun night with Christmas tea at the club out on the deck, very relaxed.

06.01.2022 Advertising for beginners. New classes to commence Thursday 4.30pm 6/02/2020.

06.01.2022 What are you going to do when isolation is over...?? Why not join Square Dancing...?? Find a class near you and have a great time....
