23.01.2022 Thank you so much to everyone that attended our Ladies Day event on Saturday. It was a great day watching the footy from the comfort of The Event Mills amazing marquee, eating, drinking and dancing (highlight was seeing some of the players mothers and grandmothers dance up a storm!). We are still confirming the money raised from the raffles which will be donated to the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation. Everyone gave very generously from both sides of the marquee to support th...is great cause. You guys are amazing! Congratulations to all the lucky raffle winners. This event wouldnt be successful without the help of the following businesses: The Event Mill - For an amazing set up. Setting up at 6am and packing up in the rain. We love your work! Malibu Fresh Essentials - For providing all the delicious fresh food for the impressive grazing table which was absolutely demolished. The Black Truffle - For the tasty food in the ladies marquee that saw the ladies flock to our waiter Riley and the beautiful hamper for the main prize in the raffle. Ryans Quality Meats - For the mens main raffle prize, a huge meat tray that will be feeding the Barton family for weeks. Intersport Armando Sports OConnor - For the fitness kit which will have one lucky Borcich ready to throw hands in no time. Also to our friends at Flipside Burger Bar North Freo and Point Walter Golf Course for the vouchers that the boys will be using for their man dates. Thanks again to everyone involved, what a generous and well connected community we have!

20.01.2022 Just six days to go until the final event of our first 100 years - the Centenary Gala at Crown! As always a late flurry of tickets has come over the last few days and we are shutting off ticket sales at midnight tonight with final numbers and dietary requirements due to Crown tomorrow At this stage with good sales in recent days, we will very unlikely have any tickets available after today - if we do it will be a handful at most... If you’re on the fence or intending to buy a ticket, please do so today as we look to see off the Centenary Year in style! Head to https://www.northfreofc.com/events/77814/ to grab yours today and we look forward to seeing you all next week!

20.01.2022 NFFC NEW LIFE MEMBER To Daniel Hunt Presented by Chris Vost... Its a great honour to present life membership to this player who has been involved with North Freo for the last 14 years. He has played 195 games from 2007 to 2020. Played in 3 premierships, 2008, 2009 and 2017 He's the leading goal kicker in the current AFL 9's competition with 0 handballs. Hunty has also been on the commitee for a total of 11 years, including roles as vice president, secretary and coaching 4th grade this year - a North Fremantle legend. His inclusion in the 2009 premiership team, came as a suprise to all when the Barrett elbow made an appearance 2 weeks before. Only to be told an hour and a half before the game that he was in! Huntys dad went home to get his gear so he could play. Trent suggested that he wear his boots, but the boots seemed to big to be filled. Hunty is a fantastic clubman, he'd help anyone out. From behind the bar, to coaching and drinking at the National. Hunty, you've still got it!! Congratulations on your Life Membership, whilst 2020 has been a strange year for most, you and Kat have welcomed a baby girl into your family and now Life membership at North Fremantle. To Daniel Hunt

03.01.2022 200TH GAME Congratulations to Dan Hunt who this week runs out for his 200th game for the Maggies. Hunty has been a linchpin in the lower grades and is never afraid to help out a fellow mate.... He is a humble and modest man, but won’t shy away from any opportunity to give a first person account of his winning goal after the siren in 2020. Well done Hunty! A couple of words from Hunty's past coaches: Brad Cox: He is the one bloke on any side that you can guarantee will give 100% for every minute of every game. Loves the club, great team mate and bleeds black and white. Trent Barrett: Hunty has always been a great clubman, from the early days in the 4th grade he was willing to lend a hand and usually bit of advice for good measure. He seems to improve his game every year and is a far cry from the back pocket rocket of the late 2000’s Chris Vost: A good clubman and he’s still got it! He doesn’t mind giving his opinion - especially to the umpires and coaches. Well done.

03.01.2022 Letter from AFL Chairman and AFL CEO Thank you. After one of the toughest years for football, we wanted to pass on the thanks of all members of the AFL Commission to your club and formally acknowledge all our hard-working volunteers at community football clubs across the country.... Without the incredible support and dedication, passion and commitment of so many volunteers at the thousands of community clubs and NAB AFL Auskick centres across the country, our game would not be able to welcome and engage the 1.7m people who participate in Australian football each year. Your work and your commitment is so vital to our great game and its ability to reach as many people as possible. We wanted to acknowledge that contribution and say how grateful we are for all the work in the community that your club and its volunteers do to promote and expand our game. We know it has been a mixed year for many local leagues and clubs. In WA, despite a challenging start to the year, it has been great to see the WAFL and the majority of community competitions complete truncated seasons. Whatever the situation has been for individual clubs we know volunteers have been vital in keeping families connected to the club and ensure they still feel that sense of belonging that is one of the key features of local community football. While we are thrilled - and relieved - to have been able to deliver the 2020 Toyota AFL Premiership season and as we edge closer to a history-making 2020 Toyota AFL Grand Final on Saturday, 24th October, at the GABBA, we know that is only part of the equation for Australian Football in this country. A strong community football base is vital to the future of the game and remains a key priority. Thank you for your hours of effort and support and please pass on to all members of your committee, your coaches, players and training staff and all the volunteers associated with your club, including the many individuals and families who support your club, our sincere thanks and appreciation. The Covid pandemic has had an impact on participation this year and an impact on the ability to generate revenue at all levels of the game. We will continue to work with all State Governments and our State and Territory affiliates to build on our community return to play protocols to ensure we can recommence in 2021 in a way that ensures the safety of players, volunteers, families and the wider community. Again, thank you for everything you have done and continue to do for Australian football and please pass on our gratitude to all at your club and also to the sponsors and financial supporters of your club for their backing of grassroots sport. I hope you enjoy the 2020 Toyota AFL Grand Final and we look forward to working with you to continue to take our game to more people next year. Yours sincerely, Richard Goyder Chairman Gillon McLachlan Chief Executive Officer

02.01.2022 NFFC SPONSOR & SUPPORTERS!! C5 LEAGUE NFFC PRELIMINARY FINAL HOME GAME!! NFFC versus North Beach... Saturday 12 September 2020 at 2.30pm GIL FRASER RESERVE Our C5 League Team has put in a huge amount of time leading up to the finals. Their efforts have been rewarded by cementing themselves in second place on the ladder! In doing so the C5 League has also earned the reward of hosting a Preliminary Final at Gil Fraser Reserve against ladder leaders, North Beach, this Saturday, 12 September 2020. We need to give our lads all the support we can to get them over the line and win the Preliminary!! We urge the Maggie Army to be out in full force, with sponsors and members at Gil Fraser Reserve!! They deserve our support!! Get behind them!! Be vocal and parochial!! It will be a hard and tough game - We can definitely beat North Beach at home. In our Centenary Year, we need a pennant to mark the significance of the year. If we get behind the C5 lads, it is more than a possibility!! We need a HUGE crowd to give our lads every chance of creating history!! Again, this means the Maggie Army, NFFC Sponsors, present players, past players, members and whoever you can shanghai into being at the Gil this Saturday, 12 September 2020! Get behind Adam and his warriors!!! Celebrate with them after the game!! Win lose or draw!! Looking forward to seeing you all there!!! Tony, NFFC President 2020

02.01.2022 NFFC NEW LIFE MEMBER To James Matkovich Presented by Paul Farrell... I remember distinctly getting inducted as a Life Member in 2006. It was a great honour that Baden Pratt was chosen as the person to bring me into this esteemed club. It was also memorable that I was inducted into life membership with two legends of North Fremantle and great friends of mine in Scotty Misich and Heath Nelson. Both people excelled in both on-field and off-field pursuits for the might black and whites over many decades, and this person that we are inducting tonight has many of the same attributes as Heath and Scotty. Now I have played a little bit of footy with this chap over recent years. Forward pocket is probably is most favored position and he displays most of the attributes that you would expect from such a player. There are many ways we could describe this guy physically but if it was left to my Mum (who is a very polite person), she would describe him as Solidly Built. He was skillful, able to turn very quickly, ability to get to the right position to crumb off the pack or take a mark, and a great goal sense. But like most forward pockets, a little cheeky and very few defensive aspects to his game. But a very handy footy player to have in your team and always good for one or two good goals. But its off-field that he has really excelled. He has held many positions in the club and has driven many new initiatives over the past decade to give the club a good vibe. He just gets involved, and if you know his family and their involvement in sport, it’s not surprising. And literally, none of us would be here at this function at Crown if it wasn’t for him. When I look at all he has done for someone at such a young age there is only one word to describe him LEADER. And this person is James Matkovich. Some of the highlights for James; * Played 152 Games for NFFC from 2009 - 2019 * Premiership Player D1 Reserves 2011 & 2017, 2013 Runner-up Grand Finalist * Colts Premiership Coach 2011, Runner-up Grand Finalists 2012 * Committee service 10 years including 6 years as Vice President * Been heavily involved in the organisation to the medal night over the past couple of years, as well as many of the social aspects of the club It gives me extreme pleasure to induct the latest Life Member to the North Fremantle Football Club, James Matkovich.

01.01.2022 HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY To all the amazing Mum’s who play, support and are involved with the NFFC we wish you a day of celebration & relaxation!! Thank you for everything you do
