19.01.2022 You wouldn't drive into a bushfire Don't drive into flood water If it's flooded. Forget it.... There's a fair bit of water around the district today, watch out for water over roads and fallen trees. Avoid driving over flooded roads as the condition of the road is unknown. If you need assistance call SES on 132 500 Photo taken on North Boundary Road near the speedway. Avoid the area, there's plenty of alternative roads to take.

15.01.2022 With more people staying home have you thought about whether we can fit if needed at your place

14.01.2022 CFA has received a number of calls from community members regarding bonfires to mark the ‘Spark in the Dark’ event this evening. We appreciate those who are tha...nking our frontline workers, but urge you to keep fire safety front of mind. As today’s conditions are windy in some areas we are urging those who wish to participate to not do so by lighting bonfires or using fire pits. If you are choosing to light a candle, please ensure it is monitored by an adult and extinguished properly. You might like to mark the event by using a torch or outside light. Thank you and stay safe.

12.01.2022 Tonight a few of our members are helping out at Western Speedway Hamilton as well as assisting with a road accident outside the gates on the highway

05.01.2022 A grassland burn is being proposed at the Hamilton Parklands this Saturday, starting from 1300hrs Saturday, weather permitting. The burn is required in the nati...ve grasslands to improve habitat quality for Eastern barred- Bandicoots that live within the location. Special ignition considerations mean that the burning is done slowly, in narrow strips, to ensure Bandicoots are not caught in the burn footprint. The photo shows (from left to right) Jonathon Lee (DELWP), Sherie Bain (Southern Grampians Environmental Officer), Jo Clutterbuck (Hamilton North CFA Brigade Captain) and Mal Anderson (Hamilton Brigade CFA Captain) inspecting the proposed burn site, finalising last minute planning of the event. It is expected the burning will be completed by 5 pm, and residents may see smoke while burning is underway.

05.01.2022 Here's a good news story in all this doom and gloom. One of our brigade members Rob Beulke donated some rare trees to our very own botanic gardens. #GreaterHamilton #Hammothegorrilla
