23.01.2022 Hi all With the return to our much loved footy games this weekend, just a reminder of some of the key points we should all familiarise ourselves with before attending any games: A maximum crowd of 500 includes players and officials. We will monitor but should not be an issue for junior games... Spectators are not allowed at any time to go onto grounds. This includes parents entering onto grounds during breaks at junior games to see children. Players should come to grounds in their required gear ready to play. Change rooms will be unavailable and can only be used for medical purposes and toilets. Players will also be unable to use change rooms to shower and change after games. Your own water bottles must be used for games. Get your names on those bottles. Finally, and most importantly, to help stop any potental future spread of this virus, we need to still continue to maintain social distancing and we should all be washing our hands regularly. Hand sanitizer will be available at grounds for use by spectators and players. Equipment, gear etc will also be wiped down between games. Please take note of these important points. For some of our younger players, you may also want to explain some of the new rules to them also, so they know what to expect before they play. See you back at the footy on the weekend. Go the Dees.
22.01.2022 Fair to say the growth and development of our girl's program over the past four years continues to exceed all expectations. Go the Dees...girl's

17.01.2022 MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID North Hobart Football Club has scheduled an MHFA course to be conducted at the club over 4 x 3 hour evening sessions, starting Wednesday 3 March. The course will be conducted by Bec Thomas of Rising Kind Consulting. The course normally costs about $200. It is FREE to NH people. ... NHJFC coaches and volunteers are invited to participate. Email NH Wellbeing Officer, Rick Tipping, at [email protected] by next Friday, 12 February, to get more information and to register an expression of interest. The club is also hoping to run a ‘Conversations about Suicide’ training session. This is 1 x 4-hour commitment and may suit those who can’t commit to the MHFA course. 11.01.2022 Hiya, We have just been notified of a water/sewerage issue at New Town Oval, that means that the home change rooms won't be open this weekend. The away rooms and public toilets will be open. Note the COVID protocol means that the change rooms should only be used where required for first aide.

08.01.2022 Hi all. As we move towards Stage 3 and a return to our much loved footy, AFL Tas has provided clubs with some key points we should all familiarise ourselves with and consider before attending any training and future games: A maximum crowd of 500 includes players and officials. We will monitor but should not be an issue for junior games... Spectators are not allowed on grounds at games. This includes parents during breaks at junior games. Change rooms are only to be used by juniors for medical purposes and toilets. If used benches etc. must be wiped after use. Toilets and change rooms must always have soap available. Grandstand use should be limited and if they are to be used, only every 2nd row can be used, and rails etc. will need to be wiped between games. Sports trainers need to complete COVID training and use appropriate PPE (gloves). Spectators are now allowed at training, provided social distancing is in place. Contact is now allowed at training, but when not doing contact drills, players also must social distance as previous. 20 players per group is no longer required. Own water bottles must be used for training and games. This is likely to continue for the foreseeable future, so get your names on those bottles. Compulsory attendee register of players and coaches to be kept for all games and training. Finally, and most importantly, to help stop any potental future spread of this virus, we need to still be maintaining social distancing. Please take note of these important points. For some of our younger players, we may also want to start to explain some of the new rules to them also, so they know what to expect when we do get underway. Take care and see you all back at the footy real soon. Go the Dees.
