09.01.2022 A huge congratulations to Mrs Boake and Mr Mackinnon’s wife, Mrs MacKinnon! Who both endured a tough course, freezing conditions and long hours to conquer the Ultra Trail 100km event in the Blue Mountains. Mrs Boake completed in a time of 17 hrs 19 mins and Mrs Mackinnon in 19 hrs and 20 mins. A fantastic effort by both ladies, their goal setting and hard work leading into the event set up a great race. Well Done! #personalbest #teamNorthlakes #100kmultratrail

05.01.2022 For your information: Start of work Safety improvements on the Pacific Highway, Charmhaven from Sunday 16 May. The Australian and NSW Governments are investing in a project to improve safety and reduce the risk of crashes between Moala Parade and Lowana Avenue.... Transport for NSW will carry out the work, which includes: Building a U-turn bay south of Jetty Avenue, for motorists wanting to change direction to travel north Widening the road to provide right turn bays into Jetty Avenue and Awaba Avenue Installing a wide painted central median between Awaba Avenue and Lowana Avenue Banning right turn movements in and out of Norah Avenue, Windermere Avenue and Munmorah Avenue. These will be left in and left out only. Access for emergency vehicles will be permitted Banning the right turn from the Pacific Highway into Lowana Avenue (the right turn movement from Lowana Avenue onto the Pacific Highway will still be permitted) Installing new signage and improving line marking Upgrading the street lighting between Moala Parade and Lowana Avenue. Workers will be working Sunday to Thursday between 7pm and 5am for one week, weather permitting. Work will then be carried out Monday to Friday between 7am and 5pm until the end of November, weather permitting. Some additional night work will be required towards the end of the project. Please keep to speed limits and follow the direction of traffic controllers and signs.

02.01.2022 Well done to Logan & Tyran who competed in the National Spartan Race recently. The National Championship race consisted of a 10 km course with 25 obstacles, through some very sandy and muddy terrain. Logan Cook competed in the 14 17 age group race, and Tyran Cook competed in the 18 24 age group. Logan had an amazing race, winning his age group and being in the top 10 times for all age groups.... This result crowned Logan as the National Champion for 2021, He then also backed up this result with a win in the shorter sprint race ( 5km and 20 Obstacles), later in the day. Tyran had a strong race in a very competitive field and finished in 17th place, and also backed up for the sprint race later in the day finishing 18th.
