25.01.2022 Tuesday 14th July No training due to wet weather

24.01.2022 Training Details!!! Training for the imminent 2020 season will be commencing this week. There are a few rules for training being enforced by the NSW Government:... ~Players are only to attend training if they are completely healthy and have not come into contact with anyone who has tested positive for covid in the last 14 days. ~Please ensure your child uses hand sanitiser on arrival and when leaving the field. ~ we must limit the amount of people who are on the field at any time. If possible we ask that parents return to their car after checking in. If your child requires supervision please do so from a distance, and practice social distancing from other parents. If you prefer to be within hands reach of your kids please let us know via this page so we can ensure the groups capacity wont go over the amount allowed to us by the government. ~ The clubhouse is not able to be opened at the current restriction level. The public toilets will be available We also ask that parents have a chat with their kids and try to make them understand that for the next couple of weeks is NON CONTACT. Unfortunately if a child disregards this and continues to make contact with other children intentionally we will need to ask that they stay home until Contact is allowed at training. NOTE- Wednesday will be the first training day this week. U6/U7- Thursday 5-6----- This age will need help during training, as well as someone to coach the younger ones!!!! U8 (all players)- Tuesday (starting next week) and Thursday 5-6 U9- Tuesday (starting next week) & Thursday 4-5 U10- Tuesday (starting next week) & Thursday 5-6 U11- Wednesday and Friday 5-6 U12- Wed & Friday 5-6 U14G- TBC U15- Wednesday 5-6 On arrival this week please come onto the clubhouse verandah to find out where your allocated training area will be. Please practice social distancing, and make use of the sanitiser which will be available. All children must be registered prior to training. If you require assistance with registering please arrive 30 mins prior to your childs scheduled session. We will see you all this week!!!!!

Due to our field being damaged by the flood, this is going to be the easiest way to ensure up to date information is getting straight to the correct parents, with minimal confusion!! ... 22.01.2022 Development Program Session 3 Dear Parents/Carers Happy New Year & welcome to the 2021 Rugby season, I hope you all had a great festive season. ... Below is some information on session 3 of the CCJRU Development Program, being held Sunday, 31 January 2021. Please note that session 3 will be held at Paddy Clifton Oval, Show Ground Road, Gosford, from 4pm to 6pm. Sign In/Sign Out Sign in & sign out will be the same as the first 2 sessions. Please arrive early enough to sign in & have your child ready to be placed into their groups and right to commence at 4pm. What to Bring: * Mouth Guard - compulsory for contact work, please ensure your child brings one as this session the content will include contact work. * Water bottle - please make it easily identifiable with either the child's name or something distinctive like coloured electrical tape Weather According to my trusty weather app, the forecast for next Sunday is fine with a high of 29 predicted. If anything changes or we get a rise in temperature, we will post an update on the CCJRU Facebook page. We will also try and keep the players in shad where possible and schedule extra drink break if needed. Kit The training shirts & rugby balls have arrived and will be handed out prior to the session. We ask that your child wears the training shirt so we look like a group and we show support to our generous sponsors. After being issued the training shirt and rugby ball, could you please place all rubbish in the bins so the staff do not have to clean up the ground at the end of the session. One of our sponsors, O'Neills, have also donated some items for the players as way of making up the delay with the kit arriving. We will hand these out to all players at the end of session 4. Photographers Our photographers, who I must say are doing an excellent job, will again be taking photos during the afternoon. If you have not checked them out, you should have a look at the CCJRU to see some great action photos. Once again, if you do not want your child photographed or used in any sort of promotions, could make sure you let us know prior to the session commencing. COVID Yes, that dreaded word. We still need to make sure this event remains COVID compliant and we will have hand sanitiser bottles at the sign in area. Please if anyone has cold or flu type symptoms, please do not attend. Future (Final) Session The dates for the 4th & final session of the Development Program will be Sunday, 21 February 2021, At the end of session 4, there will be holding a short presentation. This shield is to acknowledge a persons contribution, dedication, commitment and support to the junior players and the GAME OF RUGBY. Heleena was a strong supporter of our club. She wanted to create a safe loving environment to come together with rugby as a kaupapa. Always watching from the sidelines and supporting the club financially. Heleena had a strong vision for our club and was always supporting whanua. This award really couldnt of gone to a more deserving person this year. 21.01.2022 Regos are open!! U6/7 will once again play for FREE!!!!!! please pop your email address in the comments if you have an u6/7 player to register. U8-11 will be $120, U12 and above will be $130. ... ALL REGISTERED children will receive shorts and socks :) Regos can be done via the app- don't forget to get your active kids voucher from Service NSW first, as these can not be added after. Any requests for specific team-mates, coaches or to play outside your Childs regular age group should be requested via this form https://forms.gle/mcCs4n3Hyk7YKkEK7 Please ensure this form is filled in for your child for the 2021 season if you have requests- all children will be placed in their correct age group otherwise. Season will commence on the 10th April with a Gala day, and we are hoping for an 18 round season provided COVID stays quiet. 18.01.2022 We have just been informed that effective immediately we are able to commence contact training. Please ensure your child brings their mouthguard to training, as well as their water bottle. This also means that some assistance may be welcomed by your coach. If you would like to help your childs team, please check in with the coach- they will be monitoring numbers, so please do not be offended if they advise you that the group is at capacity, as we do still need to stick to the maximum number allowed due to Covid restrictions.

18.01.2022 Great news!! As of today we are able to Train in groups of 20!!!! This means that we wont need to split our larger teams up now! Please be aware- no other changes have been made to the restrictions!!

10.01.2022 Registration is now open for the Central Coast Junior Rugby Union (CCJRU) Development Program. The Development Program will be 4 x 2 hour sessions , run on Sund...ay afternoons between 4pm to 6pm.There will be 2 sessions which will be prior to Christmas 2020 & the next 2 sessions will be in early 2021. It is planned the program will be completed by mid February 2021. Dates & location for the first 2 sessions are: * 8 November 2020 - Gosford Rugby Club, Gosford Showground * 6 December 2020 - Gosford Rugby Club, Gosford Showground The aim of the Development Program, run by qualified coaches, will be to concentrate on the core skills required for Rugby Union. These skills will include: * Catch/Pass, kicking, attacking awareness * Tackle * Tackle contest * Fitness, health & wellness Please note that sessions commence at 4pm so we require all participants to be ready to commence at 4pm. Participants will need their own drink bottle and own equipment (mouth guard, head gear etc) for contact work. This event will be COVID compliant. Cost for the Development Program is $60.00. Each participant will receive a CCJRU training shirt and CCJRU rugby ball. Additional purchases can be made when enrolling, T shirts for $30.00 an Rugby Balls for $15.00. 09.01.2022 NEW COVID REGULATIONS With the recent outbreaks that have occurred there have been a few extra regulations placed upon community sport. On top of the already publicised expectations (stay home if you are even slightly unwell, practise social distancing and wash your hands/sanitise regularly) there are a few new ones to follow. - please do not attend games if you have been in Victoria in the last 14 days.... - Where practical, please only have 1 parent in attendance. We have been asked to limit spectators as much as possible, and to ensure all in attendance are socially distancing. And dont forget to bring your own drink bottles!!!!!! 06.01.2022 Rounds 1-6 for ages 6-13 are now live on the Rugby Xplorer app. These game times may change slightly as the situation around us changes- please ensure y...ou are checking the app right up until the Friday night before each game to confirm your kick off time. U6-u9 may have 2 games listed in one round. This is called a Tri Game, and ensures that the kids will play every week, rather than having a Bye. When there is a tri game all 3 teams have the same kick off time, coaches are to decide anongst themselves whether there are enough players to warrant a tri game, or if one or more teams are short, whether they want to combine teams to play one whole game together. If a Tri game is chosen each team will play the other 2 teams for half a game. U14/U14G/15/16/U16G draws are all currently awaiting responses or for external decisions to be made- we anticipate these draws will be released by the end of the week.

06.01.2022 Congratulations to our Club Perpetual Award winners for 2020 Angela Rolleston Memorial Award MOST OUTSTANDING JUNIOR Presented by Martha.... Angela was stalwart older member mentor and supporter of the club. She worked behind the scenes for both junior and senior teams, an aunty to all, loved by all. Angela's passing was sudden and unexpected a very sad time for the club. This award is in memory of Angela to a junior who loves the game, excels in the game and is just an overall outstanding junior. Congratulations to Alissa from Under 11’s

01.01.2022 Hi everyone!! We are hopeful that the field will be open tonight- If it isnt there will be another post at 3pm to cancel. There have been a few small changes to our training schedule in light of the changes to restrictions- U6/7- Thursday 5-6... U8, 10, 11 & 12- Tuesday and Thursday 5-6 U9- Tuesday and Thursday 4-5 U15- Wednesday 5-6 A reminder to please check in up on the clubhouse verandah when arriving for your first session. Please practise social distancing when waiting. If possible please leave siblings at home. If this isnt possible please ensure they are socially distancing as much as they can. Once you have checked in, if possible please return to your car for the session. If your child requires extra supervision (or if theyre younger) you can watch the session, however please ensure you are as far away from any training groups as possible, and social distancing from other parents where appropriate. Dont forget to bring drink bottles to every training session and game, as team bottles are not allowed for the entire season. There will also be hand sanitiser available, which we encourage you and your children to use. Hopefully we will see everyone over the next 3 days!!!!
