17.01.2022 Hallo to our wonderful Northmead families. We hope you had a peaceful Easter/Autumn time together and enjoyed the holiday break - even in these very different times! As you now know, both Monday and Tuesday next week (April 27-28) are Staff Development Days with no students attending on-site. For both Weeks 1 and 2 in terms of students attending on-site the same advice from the Premier and Education NSW that was in place at the end of Term 1 is to keep your children home if ...that is possible for home/on-line learning. However as always if you are an essential worker and/or have to send your children to school - the school is open. If you now need to send your child/children to school from Wednesday April 29 but haven't done so in Term 1, could you please email the school on Monday in case we need to vary the number of staff on site. Social distancing guidelines will be always in place. We also ask for a continued "Kiss and Drop" model and that you do not stay on site with your children in the morning and afternoons for drop-off and pick-up of students. Thank you. The school will shortly will send an update via the website and on-line communication platforms around current guidelines, managing a timetabled return to school from Week 3 and how that will continue over Term 2. Please see the Education NSW website advice to families which includes useful information, links and documents to download: https://education.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/advice-for-families Thank you for your understanding and support as we adapt to the best way forward for our students and staff at not only NPS but across our State.
