A cancer that is so common, we probably all know someone who has battled it. The National Breast Cancer Foundation are committed to funding research and raising awareness, encouraging everyone to check your breasts!... If you notice any change, any lumps, discolouration, dimples, discharge, change in size or shape.. head to your doctor for examination. No more bandanas, scarves, face shields, jumpers pulled up over your face etc. Please remember your fitted face mask when you come to your appointment!!!... There are plenty of small businesses making some good reusable + machine washable face masks out there, so support local!

And a big thank you for keeping our clinic covid safe too!! It’s exciting to have a little bit more freedom... and as we may begin to see more family and friends (outdoors!), we need to keep being safe & keep up our hygiene practices!... 07.01.2022 You may have heard that there are significant Medicare changes due to come into effect from October 1st (tomorrow). There's 2 main changes for you to be aware of: 1) Medicare rebates for Telehealth consults have been extended until 31st March 2021 and so North Mitcham Clinic is pleased to be able to continue offering Telehealth consults for the foreseeable future. We are also very happy to see you face to face if required. You can now book face to face consults through recept...ion (9842 2555) or HotDoc: https://www.hotdoc.com.au//do/north-mitcham-clinic/doctors 2) Additional bulk billing incentives that had been funded by Medicare for the past 6 months, allowed us to bulk bill all telehealth consults until now. Unfortunately this extra funding is being withdrawn from tomorrow and we have had to update our billing procedures accordingly. Pensioners and Healthcare card holders will still be bulk billed for Telehealth consults in normal office hours. There will be a private fee for all other patients. You will get back part of this through your normal medicare rebate. We are also now set up for video telehealth calls and encourage you to ask for a video call when booking through reception if this is your preference. The Australia's Health 2018 report found more than 99 per cent of children and 96 per cent of adults don’t eat the recommended intake of five serves of vegetables a day!!
