19.01.2022 We've made the heartbreaking decision to close our cellar door this weekend (2 and 3 January). As we watched yet another mass evacuation of tourists from our region last night, we woke this morning to hear that there are some potential COVID exposure sites in the Bega Valley. Out of an abundance of caution, and in the interests of protecting our staff and our local community, we have made the tough call to close our cellar door until we know more about the situation. It's another heartbreaking decision but, as a tiny two-person distillery, the only way we can safely continue our gin production is to keep the cellar door closed for another week or so while we await more information about the evolving COVID situation in regional NSW. The @sapphirecoastnsw may be best known for its pristine beaches and coastal wilderness, but it also has an incredibly diverse and dynamic arts scene, amazing local produce and some totally top notch fine dining. So it was a real treat for us to eat the latter and find out more about the former when we had lunch with Iain, director of our amazing regional gallery, at the wonderful Banksia restaurant in @pambulavillage.
