25.01.2022 The Wembley Hotel 3rd XI hosts Curtin Vic Park after a massive win last round. A monster chase was handled perfectly with AB's lads hoping to back up again with the bat. Micky Maartensz and Bailey Hayman strengthen the batting line up, while Michael "Miami Heat" Ellett comes in to add to the bowling.

24.01.2022 The T20 Div 1 side took time out of their Grand Final day to post a first up win against Swan Athletic/Caversham. In early trouble at 2/35, the man, the myth, the legend Jamie Rasmussen came to the crease. Bludgeoning 45 off 27 balls, Kong swung the game in the Lions favour. Ably supported by Luke Brambilla, who hit his first six of his career, the Lions posted a competitive score of 140 from their 20 overs. Swan Athletic/Caversham were led by captain Cam Yukich with 65* but tight bowling from the Lions meant they were never in the hunt. Steven Hood showed why he is considered to be one of the best T20 bowlers at the club with figures of 1/17 off three overs.

24.01.2022 Our Club is bigger than a game of cricket it’s a 2nd family At North Perth Cricket Club we work hard on and off the field. We have had great times and been through really hard times but what’s most important at the club is the people within it. This year more than ever we need check in and look after each other. Its a simple question that can have a powerful impact to help people in need.... R U OK?

24.01.2022 Huge congratulations to a few Lions who played milestone games over the last couple of weekends! OD3 captain Abe Goraya bought you his double ton, while multiple-Andy Stimpson medal winner Ray Roles bought up his ton alongside Jani Lokuge! Congratulations gents!

24.01.2022 A tight affair for the 3rd XI, as they narrowly went down to Bentley. A couple of early wickets saw a strong start for the Lions before Bentley captain Jason Marlborough got going and helped Bentley to a score of 182. Life Member Chris Swain was pick of the bowlers with figures of 3/27. A solid base was provided by the openers led by captain Andy Brereton. At 3/110 the Lions were in the game, however wickets at crucial times saw a loss of momentum. Yogesh Sharma was best with the bat, as he almost got the side over the line.

24.01.2022 The T20 Division 2 team suffered their first loss of the campaign to Western Suburbs. Starting strongly with the ball, the Lions had Suburbs 7/55 before a late innings fightback stole the momentum away. Clinical bowling from Yogesh Sharma was the highlight, taking an economical 3/15 off his four overs. With the bat Brenton Mizen got things off to a flyer, however he found support hard to come by. The lads fell short by 50 runs, with consistent wickets halting the Lions charge.

A top-order batsman all through his career, over this time he has managed to amass 8040 runs including 25 half centuries, which sits him in 3rd overall, at an average of 16.96 and a highest score of 98. He has also ...taken 109 wickets over his career, with an average of 19.99 and best figures of 5/25. Throughout his career, Crispy has notched up 9 grade batting aggregate and 6 batting average awards. Crispy received life membership in 1996 for outstanding commitment to the club for such a long period of time, and has played in 6 premiership winning teams. Ranx joined the club in 1987/88 and his 350 games places him 4th in the all-time standings. Known as one of the best wicketkeepers in the clubs history, Ranx has taken a club record 462 catches and 83 stumpings. He has scored 4049 runs over his career at an average of 15.3, with 11 half centuries and highest score of 83. It is however not well known that Ranx also took out the 1995/96 bowling aggregate award for 4th grade, and has taken 65 wickets, with best figures of 5/62. Ranx received life membership in 2001, and is commonly found helping out around the club, with 3 seasons as president and work on the committee. He has won 6 premierships for the club (including one with son Jack in 2007/08). Congratulations gents on the fantastic achievement, and we look forward to seeing you put off retirement for a bit longer!

07.01.2022 A tough start for the 1st XI as they were outplayed by Fremantle Mosman Park at Charles Veryard Reserve. A strong start for the Pirates, saw a competitive but gettable total of 191 posted. Matthew Cecins led the way with the ball, however on a good batting track wickets were tough to come by. With the bat things never got going for the Lions. A steady flow of wickets saw the chase always under pressure. A disappointing start, however the only way is up for Round 2!

06.01.2022 After a first up win, the Turfcare WA 2nd XI will be looking to make it two from two against North Beach Carine. Strong performances have seen a number of 2nd XI players move up to the first team, meaning there a few new faces this week. Player of the match from last week Matt Dowd will be keen to keep his hot streak with the ball going.

06.01.2022 A winning start for the Turf Care 2nd XI this season, as an all round performance saw off Fremantle Mosman Park. Batting first, strong foundations were laid by Alex Bowles and Bobby Banerjee. A run of wickets disrupted the flow of what could have been a bigger score. Batting out the 40 overs would turn out to be crucial with 171 a solid score to bowl at. The Pirates were in early trouble at 2/27 before a mid innings fightback took the charge right up to the Lions. Excellent bowling from Mat Dowd and Waseem Abbas swung the game in the Lions favour and saw the 2nd XI record a strong first up win.

06.01.2022 The Turfcare WA 2nd XI travels to the scenic Gil Fraser Reserve to take on Fremantle Mosman Park in their season opener. Vice President Michael Maartensz leads the side this season who are stacked with players looking to put pressure on those in the 1st XI.

04.01.2022 A Jamie Rasmussen masterclass has seen the T20 Division 1 side go top of their group with one game left to play. Bowling first the Lions were on the back foot early with Bentley scoring a 149 run opening partnership before some tight death bowling restricted Bentley to 165 from their 20 overs. Despite losing an early wicket, the chase was expertly controlled by Jamie Rasmussen. He bludgeoned an unbeaten 99 off 48 balls, which included seven maximums.... The lads will be looking to continue their unbeaten streak against Kalamunda in a fortnight's time.

04.01.2022 A close encounter for the 4th XI to start off the season, as they fell to Bassendean. A strong start with the bat saw the 1st wicket lost at 44 before a batting collapse left the Lions teetering at 6/88. Enter Boyd Duffield who expertly guided a lower order revival scoring 39 not out to help close the innings at 8/132. Some early wickets had the Lions up and about, however 20 wides gifted Bassendean free runs. Despite some enthusiastic appealing from new spinner Parminder Singh, the Lions ultimately fell short.

04.01.2022 The Wembley Autocare OD3 side kicks off their season this week with an away trip to Swan Valley. Led by Virat Shah in his first game as captain for the club, a mix of young and old will take the field for the mighty Lions. Look out for father son duo Luca and Paul Rados, as they battle it out for bragging rights at the dinner table.

03.01.2022 Congratulations to 1st Team Captain Jamie Rasmussen on representing the Cricketwest side on Sunday at the WACA in the statewide T20 cup. The lads made it to the final but unfortunately couldnt get the win in the final game.

03.01.2022 The Turfcare WA 2nd XI are in red hot form and have a top of the table clash against Applecross this round. Looking to go three from three, Brad Papotto comes in to strengthen the batting, while spin twins Luke Giblett and Aaron McErlaine will be aiming to pick up where they left off last week.

03.01.2022 As we reach the halfway point of our last two day fixture before the Christmas break lets look back on our Round 4 results across the club. 1's and 2's both had close losses to Kalamunda. 1's toiled away in the field to restrict Kalamunda to 191 with Gerhard Rautenbach the pick of the bowlers taking 6/35. With the bat a collapse of 6/83 had the boys teetering before Aaron Fenton steadied the ship, as he was ably supported by Gerhard Rautenbach in an all-round performance. Unf...ortunately the chase fell three runs short in a nail biting finish. 2's batted first and were quickly under the pump losing three early wickets. A rear guard performance from Luke Brambilla steadied the ship somewhat, however consistent wickets saw a total of 136 posted. It was tough going with the ball, as Kalamunda performed strongly with the bat. Matthew Dowd continued his good form with the ball taking four wickets, as Luke Brambilla chipped in with three of his own. 3's posted the club's sole two day win this round as they accounted for Fremantle Mosman Park. Freo put 208 on the board, however some excellent bowling from Cam McQuie taking 5/55 restricted the total and saw Cam claim his first five-fa for the club. With the bat a fifty run opening partnership between Andy Brereton and Chris Swain set the tone before the ever consistent Boyd Duffield compiled a well made 68 to guide the lads home. 4's took on Subiaco Marist away from home. Batting first the boys were in early trouble at 5/44 before Graeme Doyle and Nikhil Thorat combined for half centuries each to bring the total to a handy 9/182. With the ball Subi were in early trouble losing two early wickets before they steadied to bat the Lions out of the game. With the ball Chanro de Beer was the standout taking 3/20 off his nine overs.

02.01.2022 Congratulations to 1st Team Captain Jamie Rasmussen whos been named Captain in the West Australian Suburban Turf Cricket Association Chairmens XI

02.01.2022 While a series of two day fixtures kicked off over the weekend, the OD3 boys kept the train rolling with another win against Swan Athletic Caversham, while the T20 Div 2 boys went down against a strong Western Suburbs side

02.01.2022 ROUND RESULTS Mixed results from the Lions on the weekend, with some great wins and tough losses The 1st XI got over the line with six needed off the last ball, with Robbie Maxwell Montgomery clearing the rope, while club president Andy Brereton did it all for the 4th XI to see them to a huge win... The other grades saw some tough losses, with these sides looking to bounce back strong next round

02.01.2022 The Galleria Toyota OD3 lads head to our spiritual home this week, as they take on High Wycombe. After a disappointing first game, the boys will be looking to bounce back with a strong performance. Fuelled on by some famous curried egg sandwiches from Steve Crispin, the short boundaries at Grenville will be no match for big hitter Shaun Atkins.

01.01.2022 Last weekends scores sponsored by Turfcare WA A tough weekend for the Lions, with the top 3 teams going down, but the Super 8s rolled on thanks to another 90+ but less than 100 score from Scott Hobbs The OD3 boys also picked up a win, knocking off Ocean Ridge thanks to a strong all round performance

01.01.2022 The conclusion of Round 2 saw club great Graeme Doyle surpass Ivan Sparrowhawk as the club's all time leader in runs scored. Graeme's amazing career spans four decades and has seen 8,188 runs scored for the club. With six hundreds to his name and a top score of 125, his record will take some beating. Graeme's batting statistics alone would be enough to make anyone happy. However with over 500 wickets with the ball, Doyley is the greatest all rounder the club has ever produced. Congratulations on an outstanding achievement!

01.01.2022 Love the game but don't play anymore? Become a club umpire today!

01.01.2022 An excellent result for the T-Quip 1st XI, as they get their first win of the season against top of the table Applecross. Electing to bowl, captain Josh Watson put the pressure on the bowlers to execute against a strong Applecross batting lineup. Matthew Cecins led the way taking 3/27, which included five maidens. Tight bowling from Jatinpal Bhatia and Gerhard Rautenbach restricted Applecross before Steven Hood cleaned up the tail. In response the chase got off to a shaky sta...rt losing two early wickets, before Freddie Filor and Steven Hood righted the ship until stumps. The second day started with blustery and wet conditions, however the Lions dug in and reached the total before tea. Excellent batting performances from Freddie, Steve and Alex Bowles guided the boys home, before some fireworks from Jamie Rasmussen rounded out the day. A great result for the 1’s, who will be hoping this result kick starts their season.
