25.01.2022 Metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire have introduced new restrictions from 11.59am on Wednesday 22nd July 2020. We take safety and infection control very seriously at North Road Medical, and to continue to keep our staff and patients safe, we are following all guidelines by the Victorian Government Department of Health. North Road Medical now requires anyone coming into the clinic to wear a face mask. Please bring your own face mask or face covering to your Doctors appo...intment for your own protection and our staffs protection. Our staff and GPs will also routinely wear masks. So lets all mask up and get through this together! #MaskUpMelbourne #letsmaskup For more information about wearing face masks, visit: https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/face-coverings-1159pm-wednesday

18.01.2022 In light of Melbournes new stage 4 restrictions, we want to reassure all our patients that as an essential service, North Road Medical will remain open. Telehealth consultations can be booked online via our Clinic or HotDoc websites, HotDoc app or by contacting the clinic on 9576 9311. During this time face to face appointments can only be arranged after discussion with our staff and will usually require an initial telehealth consultation.... Please contact the clinic on 9576 9311 for any request for a face to face consultation. This will allow our reception staff to triage in accord with our doctors guidelines for the safety of our staff, patients and community. If during your telehealth appointment the doctor deems it essential for you to be seen at the clinic for your health and wellbeing, they will organise a suitable time to see you. Please be aware that the doctors will try their best to contact you as close to the telehealth appointment time as possible, be aware that emergencies can occur in the clinic and they will take priority. Our responses to stage 4 restrictions: Increased telehealth appointment availability, Mandatory face masks to be worn throughout the clinic, Screening questions and temperature check before entering the clinic, Patients presenting with any respiratory symptoms must wait in their car and be called by the doctor before being taken directly into our isolation room. They will not be in the waiting room or reception area, Ongoing use of a dedicated room for COVID testing. We want to thank everyone who is continuing to do the right thing. Stay safe everyone!

15.01.2022 North Road Medical is here to look after all aspects of your health. With COVID-19 stage 4 lockdown restrictions in place, the impacts of physical distancing and isolation can make us feel anxious, stressed and worried. In light of the current circumstances, the Federal Government has decided to increase mental health support to Victorians. If you already have a GP mental health plan in place you are eligible for 10 additional sessions. This means that those with a mental hea...lth care plan can access a total of 20 sessions of psychological treatment with a Medicare rebate. How to access this benefit? Book a telehealth consultation with your GP to discuss your eligibility. Bookings can be booked online via our Clinic or HotDoc websites, HotDoc app or by contacting the clinic on 9576 9311.
