23.01.2022 Term 4 of 2018 will start on the 13th of October, and we are opening a new high school class

21.01.2022 Coding to be mandatory in primary, early high school Coding will be compulsory for primary school children, while students in years 7 and 8 will be required to learn a coding language under new science and technology syllabuses to be introduced to NSW schools next year. The new primary school science syllabus aims to give children a better understanding of scientific concepts and methods by the time they finish year 6 so they are ready for more sophisticated science at high school. Coding concepts will be introduced from kindergarten to year 2, when children will learn how to follow and describe a sequence of steps (computational thinking) and about the ways data is represented as pictures, symbols and diagrams. 17.01.2022 North Shore Coaching College is an official International Competitions and Assessment for Schools (ICAS) Testing Centre. We now offer ICAS tests to all students, providing their schools are not currently offering ICAS tests. The enrolment form needs to be completed prior to the ICAS test/s closing dates. 11.01.2022 Due to the present crisis of Covd-19, For the rest of Term 1, North Shore Castle Hill has moved online using the provided online system developed by Northshore's Head office. However in order to improve the communication between teacher and student, during Term 2, I am planning to offer a different online system, using the interactive lesson space of Zoom for Castle Hill students. The benefits of Interactive lessons:... - Students will have the same teachers as Term 1 who are familiar with your child's level and progress, instead of the chosen teachers of Northshore's Head office teaching their courses. - There is no need to rush to a centre after school, instead have the tutoring class in your own home. - Using Zoom, parents have an opportunity to watch your children's classes to ensure their leaning quality. - It is just like a real tutoring lesson, as your children will be in real-time with their teachers. Through video, audio and a collaborative whiteboard, there is everything that your children need to learn like normal classes, as they are able to ask their questions to their teachers immediately. It is much more convenient and ensures a better learning quality for your children. - Later, we are going to develop technology that is able to record their classes so it can be reviewed at any time. - Most classes will also keep to the same time schedule as normal coach school classes. 2020 Term 2 enrollment start now. 11.01.2022 2019 UMAT UPDATE The UMAT Admissions Test (for Medicine) is changing in 2019. 2018 will be the final year for students to sit the UMAT, as it will be replaced by a new test, the UCAT (University Clinical Aptitude Test). Students who are planning to sit the UMAT in 2019, will instead need to register for and sit the UCAT. The UCAT (University Clinical Aptitude Test) is a 2-hour computer-based test that has been use in the UK and consists of 234 multiple choice questions cover...ing five main sub-sections. Candidates will sit the test at Pearson VUE test centres located in Australia, New Zealand and some overseas centres. The UCAT will be offered on a choice of dates throughout the month of July, rather than on one single date. More details will follow early next year.

11.01.2022 UNSW Global will be introducing the REACH Assessments in 2019 and North Shore Coaching College is proud to offer REACH Assessments to all students, provided their schools are not currently offering the REACH Assessments that they intend on entering.
