18.01.2022 Eight names, all NSW RFS volunteers, have been added to the Emergency Services Volunteer Memorial in Sydney today. We will never forget the service of Michael ...Maria, Phillip Bell, Ian Long, Robert Panitz, Geoffrey Keaton, Andrew O’Dwyer, Samuel McPaul and Colin Burns. 102 names now appear on the memorial, recognising volunteers from the NSW Rural Fire Service, NSW State Emergency Service, Marine Rescue NSW and the NSW Volunteer Rescue Association who have paid the ultimate sacrifice protecting communities.

15.01.2022 North Shore Rural Fire Brigade volunteers were tonight presented with the NSW Premier’s Bushfire Emergency Citation for their involvement in the 2019/20 bushfire season. We would like to thank all of our volunteers for their tireless efforts over the past year, and of course their families for the incredible support throughout this time.

11.01.2022 A crew from North Shore Brigade is currently on scene working with other RFS Brigades and firefighting agencies to bring the Junction Road fire at Telegraph Point under control.



10.01.2022 SEVERE FIRE DANGER and TOTAL FIRE BAN In a Total Fire Ban, no fire may be lit in the open and all fire permits are suspended. Under these conditions leaving early is the safest option for your survival. 10.01.2022 On this day last year NSW recorded 17 concurrent Emergency Warnings. Communities in the Blue Mountains, Clarence Valley, Richmond Valley, Walcha, Armidale, Namb...ucca, Kempsey, Tenterfield, and the Mid Coast were all being impacted by fire. At 6pm 94 fires were burning across the state. 02.01.2022 Just after 4pm on Monday North Shore responded to reports of a bushfire in the Point Plomer area. After an extensive search by brigades from North Shore, Lake Innes, Crescent Head and Gladstone, we located a large pile burn on private property. Before you light a fire ensure you have a permit, notify your neighbours, and contact your local Fire Control Centre.
