23.01.2022 The first of a three day Golf and Conservation program was held on Saturday the 8th of May with 6 local Island kids participating. After a few hours of being taught the basics of golf, by our Pro Andrew, the focus then changed to environment and conservation, where topics such as water, koala food trees and local trees and flora were covered. Keep your eyes peeled for images from day two of the program that took place this Saturday just passed!

18.01.2022 Fantastic weather greeted the 28 teams competing in the 2020 Straddie Ambrose . Players travelled from near and far to play in the prestigious event with Macleay Island taking out top honours by the smallest of margins. The prize table was full with fantastic prizes thanks to our great sponsors ‘Bobs Shop Foodworks Point Lookout’ . Stradbroke Island Resort and Spa and the Straddie Golf Club Members. The 2021 event will be better than ever and we can’t wait to do it all again.

11.01.2022 North Stradbroke Island Golf Club is a truly beautiful place to visit. Whilst the views from the Club's deck across Brown Lake, over the Bay and on to the Glasshouse Mountains is breathtaking, the views on the course are just as stunning. Set amongst native island flora and an abundance of bird and animal life, an awesome game of golf is only a part of the wonderful experience you'll have at the Straddie Golf Club!

03.01.2022 We managed to squeeze in one last Golf Supper Club event last week. As always, the food was incredible, cooked by the insanely talented Myles Seymour. Obviously the Golf Supper Club event is now on hold due to the current happenings around the world, however be sure to follow us here and on Instagram to receive updates on all of our club news and announcements.

02.01.2022 Want to know what the fuss is about at the side of the 7/16 fairway? Why the cordoned off area? It’s something to do with ducks. This is the Flying Duck Orchid (Caleana major) and from these small brown leaves flower stems 200-500 mm in length will grow and typically bear 1-5 orchid flowers resembling Flying Ducks. The flowers are 20-25 mm by 6-7 mm and flower during the Queensland winter.
