One way to do this might be to do a weekly virtual parkrun. If people are able to run the North Sydney course in their own time, throughout the week or over the weekend, they can then post their times on Strava and on our Facebook page. ... This might be a way of encouraging and motivating each other to keep running and to keep our local parkrun community connected. Your thoughts, comments and suggestions on this concept are most welcome..!

While a number of countries have cancelled parkrun events across the board, a decision to do so in Australia is yet to be made. Further advice is likely to be issued by parkrun HQ in the UK on Wednesday or Thursday. ... 08.01.2022 Another great turnout today - 234 runners - with lots of first timers. Apologies to anyone who we misdirected to go to Jagos Cafe for the post-run coffee. Unbeknown to us they are still closed for the holiday period. The regulars found their way to Sotto down the road. But for any visitors left high, dry and without coffee mates - we apologise! Have a great weekend all!

06.01.2022 A nice yarn about the rising popularity of parkrun on ABC News Breakfast this morning. Remarkable how much parkrun Australia has grown in recent years. Now at 800,000 registered parkrunners and approx 2,000 first timers each week. Thanks to everyone who has been a part of the North Sydney parkrun journey over the past 1.5 years.
