25.01.2022 W35B v North Turramurra. Loss 0-1. Great result against top of the ladder team. Hot conditions - we should have been at the beach but instead we defended well against North Turramurra. There was lots of good mid field passing and attacking - a few unlucky attempts at goals. Players of the match were our three goalies - May, Marga & Nat. Our thoughts are with Kate and her family - sending best wishes.

24.01.2022 WAAC v St Michaels It was always going to be a close match against St Michaels who had beaten us in round 1 but we were definitely up for the challenge. Having all 17 players available was always going to be tricky. And a welcome return from Mrs Coxy from quarantine.... We started alittle slow but within 20 mins were into the groove and were putting pressure on their defence. A great shot from Emily hit the post with Karina following up the rebound with alittle help from their keeper 1 nil to us. Second half we pushed hard again and were rewarded with a second goal this time Emily made the back of the net. A couple of great saves from Nic kept St Michaels with a no score. A great win against a strong team and great play by everyone.

24.01.2022 WE ASK YOU Which of the 3 following sentences do you think represent NSU the most? we ask you to comment with the number you see next to the sentence, at the end of the week the winner will become our youth slogan for the season.... 1 - Some teams play football, we live it! 2 - Love it, Live it, Play it!! 3 - North Sydney United, The heart of Football

24.01.2022 MAA6 1st NSUFC Vs Northbridge: Draw 3-3 Friday Night under Lights at Cammeray against our local rivals. They had only lost one game all year & the boys came ready to play. After 20 minutes in we conceded a scrappy goal from a scrabble in the goal mouth. We kept applying pressure & with 10 minutes left in the first half we scored to make it 1-1 (Jack Linton) & within 3 minutes we scored again to make it 2-1 (Jamo). They applied pressure & with 1 minute before half time we gave... away a free kick & from the cross in they scored to make it 2-2 at half time. Second half started & they applied pressure, as they had never had to come from behind before this season & we conceded 25 minutes in to make the score 2-3 to them. We applied pressure & they counter attacked, chanced missed from both. With 15 minutes to go we lost our captain to an injury & we reshuffled, after a few minutes we got a free kick near the technical area side of the pitch, Told Jamo to look at the keeper & have a go (watch clip below) final score 3-3. Great game to watch Again a big thank you to Jack Linton who played his last game for us, due to moving overseas for study, (You will be missed by all) See more

24.01.2022 45D4R v Gordon, we won 2-1 It was a bye weekend so we played a friendly against our 3pm partners. We lost a lot of players to injury which was bad news in a game that didnt mean anything. We went 1-0 down when Gordon scored directly from a free kick. Second half we equalised from the penalty spot when Clive showed Dancer how he should have done it last week. Roy scored the winner with a lovely turn on the edge of the box and a slotted finish. Injury cloud now over Dom, Stingray, Brendan, Steve O, and Steve H for next week. Pic - Jack likes to pay attention when Clive is playing.

22.01.2022 North Turramurra V W35A Won 3-1 What a brilliant win vs top of the table. We headed north for the rearranged fixture in the dead of night surrounded by lightning. Our opposition started the game quick and we worried that we may have met our match. Against the run of play Laura scored and we started to believe! Everyone put in 1000% and we smashed it. Winning 3-1 with 2 follow up goals from Nat (our own Johan Cruyff). We even scored their goal as which curved skilfully past o...ur keeper. Oh and our Keeper, Nerida made save after save. She was immense, stellar, freakin awesome. Diving right and right saving our bacon many times. Great game and a great team!! See more

21.01.2022 MAA6 Res NSUFC Vs St Ives Lost 4-2 The boys went down early with 2 long balls to be behind 2-0 after 15 min. But they they managed to keep the score at 2-0 till half time. Second half started & we applied pressure, we missed some chances & out of the blue Vipual struck a beautiful shot from 35 metres out into the top right corner to make it 2-1. That seemed to get St Ives angry & again 2 long balls through our mid filed & defence and we where down 4-1. We start to play again & after applying pressure we got our 2nd goal, from Nigel dining what he does best & been a pest to the goal keeper during corners. Final score was 4-2

21.01.2022 MAA6 1st NSUFC Vs Turramurra: Lost 4-0 They had 2 fast wingers & they out paced us for the first goal & the 2nd was a long range shot that we didnt close down, We had a Penalty awarded to us just before half time, but we sent it over the bar, half time 2-0 down. Second half we challenged more & the game was more even. The last 15 minutes they caused us problems as we where chasing the game & we let 2 more go in. Final score 4-0

21.01.2022 Over 45s Division 3 Reserves v Lane Cove Won 11-0 After the disappointment of a poor showing against Berowra the previous week, it was a case of thats more like it against Lane Cove. ... Up 6-0 at half time there were no thoughts of easing up and the final score of 11-0 showed just what this very talented team is capable of. Leigh raced to the top of the scoring charts bagging 5 goals with Boris and Wagner picking up 2 each. It was a great team performance with everyone contributing to the success and with just 3 games remaining this season were still mathematically in the hunt for the title.

20.01.2022 M35 Div01 Champions NSU Black 5 Lindfield 2 The Invincible’s... A remarkable season saw NSU Black finish in a style with a 5-2 win against our closest challengers to close out the season with our unbeaten record intact. Some incredible stats across the season. Only 2 points dropped, an 8 game run without conceding a goal, an average of over 4 goals a game and all achieved with a full squad contribution and by playing some exceptional football in the process. The effort and commitment by the guys in training and on match days has been exceptional all season and carried through into the final game. 2 more goals apiece on the night for Dan ‘Driller’ Talbot and Macca saw them finish the League season with 15 goals each, which means they remain the joint top scorer. Both scored a goal in either half through exceptional team play and some breath taking football that cut straight through the opposition at incredible speed and two fantastic strikes which were a joy to watch. The scoring was completed by a sensational long range strike from Centre Half - Sean Bricktop Thomas, which brings the curtain down on an exceptional league campaign and Congratulations to everyone in the squad and a huge effort from everyone... going a full season unbeaten takes a lot of focus and commitment. With the league season finished - the boys head into next weeks Champions Cup where we play the Champions of the Northern Beaches League out in Turramura.

20.01.2022 Our very own Ben Sutton, very inspiring, fantastic video - massive congrats well done from all at NSUFC https://www.facebook.com/853462908066784/posts/3508557895890592/

20.01.2022 WAAC v Berowra A cracking day for some cracking football. Lovely passing football resulting in a 6-2 win. Another hatrick for Ali plus goals from Emily and Karina. Plus an own goal from Berowra.

20.01.2022 WAAC v West Pymble Another great game on another sunny afternoon. Although the 0-0 score line at half time was alittle worrying. It must have been the half time talk from Coach Coxy which made all the difference as we came out fighting for the second half.... Or it could have been the late arrival of one of our centre backs who forgot we had an early KO!!!! A contender for mug of the season for sure. Anyway beautiful passing resulting in our first goal from Michelle then another from old twinkle toes Emily and finally a brilliant long range shot from Helen Ann to secure a 3 nil win.

20.01.2022 HAPPY SIBLINGS DAY North Sydney United has a lot of siblings playing in the club and we want to celebrate them. Post a photo of you and your sibling wearing your soccer jersey.... tag #northsydneyunited or post the photo here on our page

20.01.2022 WAAC v Mt Colah With only 3 points separating the top 5 teams this was a must win game to ensure we finished in the top 4. Well no-one disappointed. Within 15 mins Karina had used her Argentinian genes by going down nicely in the box for a penalty which Michelle put away nicely. Another goal from Emily and then Karina popping in our 3rd.... So at half time we were 3 nil up and looking good. Beautiful play and everyone played their roles perfectly. The second half was as brilliant as the first with another 2 goals from Karina to secure her hatrick and a cheeky one from Susie to finish the game at 6 nil. Well done everyone - a great game to watch and even Mrs Coxy was watching from her hotel quarantine - boo hoo !!! See more

20.01.2022 W35B v Mt Colah. Win. 2-1. We wore our black arm bands in memory of Kates mum. We struggled in the first half to find good passes and connect as a team and our coach Matt let us know! Second half we were down 1 nil until May scored a great goal and shortly after Naomi scored another cracking goal. A win from being behind was a pleasing result. Thanks to Marga and Lara for their fine performances as goalies. Thanks also to Liam for running the sideline - much appreciated.

18.01.2022 MAA6 Res NSUFC Vs Turramurra Lost 8-1 Playing the team coming first, the boys struggled for pace againast them & playing our first game at Cammeray Oval was also something they need to get use to. We chased the game after 15 minutes, as goals started to go in. But before half time we had a corner & we pushed some of our backs up & it paid off, as Jan hit a screamer into the top right of the goal to make the score 5-1 at half time. Second have the boys gave it all & we only let 3 goals in late in the game as we started to get tired. great effort by the boys never giving up. below clip of Jack L shooting wide.

17.01.2022 MAA6 Res NSUFC Vs West Pymble Win 5-1 Fantastic way for the boys to finish off the season. Nigel put his body on the line to score the first goal & then Jan scored the 2nd for us but could of had more. Instead Jan keen to set up Nigel after running through from a perfect ball from Jamo, & he squared it to Nigel, with an open goal skewed his shot. But Jan ending up getting his 2nd goal for the day, from a beautiful cross ball from Oliver & Jan took 2 touches & powered across... the keeper into the bottom left corner of the goal. Half time score was 3-0, second half started the same way with us pushing for more goals & Jan ending up getting his hat trick from an other through ball & he put it into the back of the net. Jan then created chances for others, instead of taking the shot & all shots went wide. We finally got goal number 5, from Aaron chipping the keeper as he was coming out. We then relaxed & let them score with 3 minutes to go. Final score 5-1 Very hard to pick a man of the match from our backline - to midfield to our forwards, but have to go to Jan. Leading Goal scorer for the year was Jan with 7 & Nigel 2nd with 5. Most valuable player votes per match goes to Oliver Harding The boys finished 6th this year. Till next year boys really enjoyed it. 16.01.2022 9th of May last Sunday of Female Football week, join us to watch at Cammeray Oval for another day of North Sydney United matches. #Loveit,Liveit,Playit

15.01.2022 M045 D2 - vs Lane Cove Lost 5-4 This game had many twists and turns. 2-0 up in 20 mins. 3 injured players in the next 25 mins including a head injury plus 3 goals from the opposition. 3-2 down at half time. We started second half with 10 players then got back to 4-3 down in a very battling second half performance and the game finished 5-4.Goals from Chico, Elvis (2), Woodsey. Nine goal thriller but a loss nevertheless!! Onto the next Saturday.

15.01.2022 O45s Div 3 v Berowra 8-1 win Still undefeated this season goals for Chicken, Andy Marren and a 25 yard toe poke scorcher from Neil Gross. Topped off with a hatrick from Pikey and a brace from Robbie no goals. Worth the long drive up north. This weeks Sombrero man of the match Neil Gross.

13.01.2022 MAA6 Res NSUFC Vs Northbridge Win 2-1 Great game by the boys on a Friday Night under Lights. We scored mid way through the first half to be ahead 1-0 at half time & Jan de Lang Venter scored his second goal of the game in the 15 minutes into the start of the game. The boys kept pushing for a third, but on the counter Northbridge broke away & as we defended a soft tackle in the box they got a penalty & made the score 2-1. With 5 minutes to go we conceded an other penalty. But to our advantage the ref had warned about encroaching & the penalty goal was disallowed due to the infringement. Final score 2-1. A big thank you to Jack Linton who played his last game for us, due to moving overseas for study, (You will be missed by all)

13.01.2022 W35B v Lindfield. Win. 3-1. Fabulous win on a beautiful spring afternoon at Primrose Park. Lane Cove attacked & attacked and we keep them out of the goals - thanks to Victoria and Monique. There was lots of running and attacking from our mid fielders. Two goals from May a magnificent goal from Clancy. Clancys goal was labelled the goal of the season - she lopped it over everyones head and straight into the top left hand corner of the goals. Coach Matt celebrated after the game on our Fathers Day win .

13.01.2022 W35B v Mt Colah. Won. 4-1. Fantastic end of season game at Mt Colah. 3 perfect goals from May and 1 fab goal from Clancy. Everyone put in 100% in the warm weather. Vicky was voted player of the season with her constant support and cheering - thanks Vicks. Our third half was a usual winner .

12.01.2022 M35 Div 2 v Turramurra; 3-0 win. A strong performance throughout rounded off with 3 quality goals by Brewer (header) and Danny (50 yard lob with his right and a screaming volley from the edge of the box with his left) On another day it would have been close to double figures after plenty of chances (including a penalty) were missed Thomas put in a quality shift with the gloves to keep a clean sheet ... Three games to go and the chance to finish second is in our hands. See more

12.01.2022 Over 45 Division 3 Reserves v Lindfield Won 5-3 Low on numbers but high on ability, it was another trip north to play on that unfamiliar surface called grass. Cheech and Chong have had some better performances on grass than us this season.... A goal in the first minute to Leigh helped eased the nerves and despite not being at our best we held a commanding lead at the break. Leigh completed his hat-trick in the second half plus goals to Pikey and Andy Marren saw us run out 5-3 winners. An untimely bye this weekend means only two games left for a season of what couldve been.

12.01.2022 Winner of the T-shirt competition is the T-shirt number 3 Training kit for NSU season 2021

11.01.2022 Over 45 Division 3 Reserves v Northbridge A Won 2-1 Heading into the match we were still a chance of securing the title but needed to win and hope that one other result fell our way.... We achieved the first part of that equation thanks to a couple more goals to Leigh who finished the season on a staggering 21 from 12 games. He was top scorer in a side that smashed in 48 for an average of 4 per game. As Maximus once said, "Are you not entertained?" Unfortunately the second part of the equation didn't eventuate with Hornsby Heights narrowly beating Berowra to limp over the line. Despite the runners-up medal it's been a fantastic season and a credit to all those involved. A big thanks to Guy Watson for helping out and to every player for their effort and attitude. Let's do it again next season and go one better.

11.01.2022 MAA3 North Sydney Red vs North Turramurra Ressies - A slower start than usual from the team which saw us run out on our feet. Slight changes to the line-up meant our top goal scorer for ressies Ben Hutton found himself at center back. NSU gave away a foul in the box and North Turra converted 1-0 down. A mismatch off a corner allowed them to extend the lead to 2-0. Dominant second half and a classy finish from Rich Chambers couldnt get us over the line. 2-1 the final score in... favour of North Turramurra. Firsts - After working hard the last few weeks on nailing our formation and geling the team with new players this week it paid off. North Turramurra were 2nd on the ladder and we put together a strong 90 minutes of football. An early goal from Ben C off a corner had us 1-0 up, shortly after Eric Peng converted a 1 on 1 and we went into the half 2-0 up. Second half we defended well and continued to press the attack, Eric iced the game with a brace and we ran out 3-0 winners.

09.01.2022 M35 Div01 NSU Black 4 Lane Cove 0 NSU black increased their lead to the top of the table by 7 points with 5 games to go and put in an emphatic first half display against a solid Lane Cove side. ... NSU Black came out of the traps quickly and 2 goals from Dan Driller Talbot and 2 from Macca in the first half, saw NSU Black head into half time already 4-0 up. The quality of play first half was exceptional, with a fast high press, some great passing and some exceptional team goals. Lane Cove put up a strong fight second half to ensure the score finished 4-0. A couple of great assists from right back Stevie Free and an exceptional performance from Man of the Match - Marcus Bennet which saw him cover 12.65km in the game, almost 2km more than the average Premier League player.

09.01.2022 M35D2 vs Chatswood Rangers: Won 4-3. The renaissance continued with a display full of heart to come back from behind and do the double over our nemeses. Danny Beckham Hunt finally scored with a 30 yard free kick into the top corner. Other goals by Richie, Chris (penalty) and Ollie (who travelled from the Central Coast to play and score his first ever goal in 6 seasons with the club).... Result taking us back to 2nd in the league See more

09.01.2022 M35 Div 01 NSU Black v Hornsby Heights W 4-0 With 4 games to go North Sydney United Black retain their unbeaten record and are now 9 points clear at the top of Div 01. ... A long drive out to Montview Parade for a game in the sunshine against a Hornsby side whos last 3 games included 2 wins and draw, was never going to be easy. The pitch made it difficult to play the type of football that has brought us a lot of success this season, so we had to adapt our game to suit that challenge and the boys responded brilliantly. The work rate, energy and application from the boys was exceptional and we never took our foot off the break for the full 90mins.. 2 headed goals in the first half from Marcus Bennet and Dan Driller Talbot took NSU into half time with a 2 goal lead and second half goals from Stevie Free and Mcgregor from the penalty spot finished the game.

09.01.2022 Over 45 Division 3 Reserves v Berowra Lost 2-0 We are the Denis Bergkamp of North Sydney. Not the silky skills but the dislike of long distance travel. Another trip up north and another flat performance resulting in a disappointing loss against an inferior opposition. Were back at home this Friday night where we undoubtedly play our best football. Thanks to Gadget for the high quality pictures.

08.01.2022 W35A vs Turramurra United Won 6-1 After last week’s loss the team were ready for a strong comeback, albeit with limited numbers and a few carrying injuries. Our trademark slow start saw us down 1 nil early before some great pressure got us back in the game. Sublime pass from Nerida finished off expertly by Nat to bring it to 1-1. Jayne sparked the 2nd goal with a great through ball that Nat also finished off. Into half-time and feeling like it was a tough game but that we wer...e back. Then excellent pressure and passing got us 2 goals in the first 10mins of the 2nd half and we’d cracked the game wide open. Not done yet we got another 2 with Paola setting up Nat with an expert pass out of the back line and finally a wonderful looping shot from the top of the box into the back of the net from Sarah that had us all cheering. Nat finished with an absolute bag of 5 goals! Our resident weather woman, accurately forecasted today’s sunshine and goal showers. See more

07.01.2022 45D4R v Prouille, we won 3-2 We were already short on players and lost Steve H during the first half when his calf went. He was looking for whoever kicked him but there was nobody there. We dominated possession but couldnt break through until late in the first half when Evil played a ball into the box that was weakly cleared straight to Clive to score. Prouille were a long way down the table from us but hit back from a corner. Darren claims he was pushed but the goal stood. ...Roy put us back ahead with a fine goal which brought a reshuffle of the team to a 3-6-1 formation. Despite the populated midfield, their best player went on a run from halfway beating a couple of players and shooting over Darren for another equaliser. With five to go the ball found Evil on the edge of the box with his back to goal. He took a touch and swivelled a shot that found the bottom corner. David kindly called it the goal of the season! Back on top of the league again. See more

07.01.2022 MAA6 1st NSUFC Vs St ives: Lost 4-0 Game was pretty even through out. Just 2 chances in the game & St Ives capitalised on them. Score at half time was 1-0 from a scrappy cross that was not cleared. The 2nd half the boys kept up the pressure & only conceded in the last 15 minutes to lose 2-0. Love that the boys never give up.

06.01.2022 MAA6 1st NSUFC Vs West Pymble: Won 1-0 Only 3 minutes into the game, Ethan was taking the ball down & as he ran into the penalty area, was pushed in the back in the penalty box. Jamo stood up to the spot and placed into the top right of the goal to make it 1-0. We created a few chances, but could not convert them, Chris playing in a pivot roll held the ball up well & put through some great balls to our forwards. Ethan & Luke defended great in the midfield & pick up all the sc...raps. Half time score was 1-0. Second half started & they tried to pressure us, but both Aaron & Daniel controlled the back line perfectly & cutting out all passes trying to get through. Midway in the half they had a shot from just outside the box & Daniel unfortunately handball the ball in the penalty box. They stood up to the spot to take it & shot high & wide, That just sparked Daniel to rally the rest of the team to keep fighting & playing our game. With 3 minutes to go we couldn’t stop them from shooting from 35 years out & it deflected off one of us looked like our keeper was about to be lobbed, but just went over the bar & on the outside our the net. Final score was 1-0. Leading goal scorer was Jamo with 7. Most valuable player votes per match goes to Aaron Lambert Till next year boys really enjoyed it The boys finished 8th this year. 05.01.2022 W35A vs Kissing Point Won 4-1 Last game of the season and we finished on a high with a 4-1 win against our friendly rivals Kissing Point. Nat scored a brilliant hattrick and Hayley, our left back, had a cracking long shot into the back of the net (best of their household I am told). Everyone played well in the 30+ degree heat and just had a fun game. It has been an overly enjoyable season with a mixture of reunited players and new players. The team were dedicated, encouragi...ng and displayed great sportsmanship. We feel very fortunate to have played this season. Finishing second on the table, 1 point behind top spot, was a fantastic result. Thanks to our coach Dave for helping us reach our potential and being incredibly supportive. Thanks to our dedicated spectators (special mention to Kiera). Thanks to the club for their hard work in making this season happen. Bring on next year - wooo! See more

05.01.2022 W35A vs Turramurra United Won 2-0 What a hot game, and not just the weather. Potentially Jerry Springer would have been better suited to ref the game at times. During the first half, after their keeper took out Natalies legs from under her, Nerida had a direct free kick and scored. The defence and midfield stayed tight throughout the game giving the opposition little chance of scoring. During the second half Natalie ducked and weaved through their players giving us the second goal. A lovely smoke cloud moved in making the air delightful to breathe in. A hard game, but well fought and well deserved.

05.01.2022 WAA2 vs Asquith: Won 3-0! First win of the season, and what a way to do it! In the first half we played some of the best football weve played all year, with one goal starting from a free kick at halfway and then a penalty awarded to us shortly after. We defended really well to keep it a clean sheet in the second, and got a header off a corner in the last 5 minutes to secure the win. Great work team!!

05.01.2022 W35A vs Lane Cove Win 2-0 And so we returned to the field, after our almighty win on Friday night, with sore legs but endless enthusiasm. We started the game strong with many runs at goal. With lots of great passing, and Nat the finisher, we won 2-0, securing us top of the table! Thankyou to our spectators, many of whom are our fallen soldiers and the Fathers who shared their day.

04.01.2022 MAA3 - North Sydney Red vs Lane Cove Ressies - After a tough few weeks seeing no points, reserve grade had something to prove. We came out of the gates strong with an early brace for Gavin Condon and Trent Dennis finally getting himself on the scoresheet. An error off a corner just before the half time whistle resulted in a 3-1 scoreline at half time. A slow second half with multiple changes going begging the final score stood as a 3-1 victory to North Sydney. Firsts - Not o...ur best 90 minute performance, we came into the game a little complacent and Lane Cove were up for a fight. We managed to retain the majority of the possession but it was scrappy football. Lane Cove broke the deadlock and screamed home a free kick just outside our penalty area. This proved to be the wake up call needed and we hit back shortly after with a great run from Eric Peng and cool finish from Julien Simon. 1-1 draw was a fair result at the end of the day. Both squads are back to the undefeated fortress of Cammeray next week for the North Sydney AA3 derby. See more

04.01.2022 MO35s Div 2 vs Lane Cove - Win 5-1 After a recent run of disappointing results the team was in need of a spirit lifting performance and they delivered that in droves. After dominating the first half without converting into a lead, minor player tweaks were made (most notably the manager benching himself for the good of the team) and it seemed to do the trick. Leon broke the deadlock with a great individual effort from outside the box and that seemed to loosen the flood gates.... Frank followed it up soon after with a goal that left their keeper rooted to the spot. Steve pulled out some great stops to keep us in front and Lane Cove frustrated... except for a dodgy "did it cross the line" decision that didnt go our way. Richie, Frank and Ferg then slotted home to round out a superb team performance. Well done lads, great game to play in and watch. 3 points split 2nd-7th in the league with 5 games to go. Picture - Lane Cove defender taking one for his team.

03.01.2022 M35 DIV 01 CHAMPIONS NSU Black 4 NSU Red 0 Due to results earlier in the day the big derby game meant that NSU Black had the opportunity to be crowned DIV 01 Champions, but we knew we were in for a tough game against our other DIV 01 boys. The game was hard fought from start to finish, but the teams were separated by two first half goals from Macca and Dan Driller Talbot. The Second half was more of the same and the game was fiercely contested. A further goal from Mcgrego...r and own goal, saw the scoreline finish 4-0 which was a harsh scoreline on the reds for the way they fought all the way to the final whistle. Still - The unbeaten record for the blacks remains intact and another clean sheet and a league title meant the boys celebrated late into the night and no doubt a few sore heads this morning. Congrats to all the boys on a great campaign. The levels of commitment, attitude and application have been exceptional all season.

02.01.2022 O45D4R v West Pymble, we won 1-0 We are stumbling and crawling our way to the title only beating much lower placed clubs by the odd goal over the last 2 weeks. It also took a great penalty save from Darren (pictured) to keep us in the game. Not long after that let off, Evil took a throw in to Dead Man Walking who passed inside for Kluivert to volley in from outside the box. Mick missed a great chance to give us breathing space late in the game. It was a horrible game ona horrible potch. Great Battling game from wee Stevie at left back (pictured)
