24.01.2022 Service Update: Over the weekend, we have lost all phones to the practice. We can't call out and if you call in you will usually hear a busy signal or nothing at all. There is also no ability to send or receive faxes. Telstra has informed us the expected rectification date is 2 weeks away... We are attempting to organise a diversion to a mobile phone to be able to receive calls, but in the mean time, know that you can book online and we are here and working as usual.

22.01.2022 Service Update: We have a single phone line incoming that works most of the time. All numbers are diverted to that so it shouldn't matter which number you call. We still do not have a fax line. The expected repair date has not changed from 4th March according to Telstra... Remember you can book online 24/7 via HotDoc.com.au or click on the Book now blue button above to be taken to booking link.

We have plenty of outdoor undercover waiting areas but please do not come early, and do not bring family members if they are not being seen. If you mild have respiratory symptoms, you should wear a mask and enter the back garden waiting area from the front of the property. Please use the HotDoc App to check in when you arrive so we know you are here or let one of our receptionists know you are here and where you are waiting - the usual Check-In Kiosk has been disabled in the interests of minimising spread of infection.

17.01.2022 Power failure/service interruption: Some parts of North Turramurra suffered a blackout Sunday 9th Feb at 11am. This involved our practice. As of Monday 10th Feb 9am, we are still without power and therefore without our electronic patient management system. Phone lines also seem to be down. This means we temporarily have no access to appointments or patient files and cannot receive or make calls. There is no ability to check results or make appointments, including online. ... If you have an appt with Dr Mayes, Sinclair, Scott or Raffles, please attend at your appt time, and we will see you. There is no estimated rectification time from Ausgrid at this time. Apologies for the disruption See more

12.01.2022 COVID-19 Update There have been some changes lately in how your doctor might be able to see you. Some people in isolation or in high risk groups will be able to do a phone consult for no out of pocket cost. High risk groups include:... at least 70 years old, or at least 50 years old or over if ATSI descent, or pregnant, or a parent of a child under 12 months, or a person under treatment for chronic health conditions or who are immune compromised. If you have mild upper respiratory tract symptoms (eg sore throat, runny nose) you will probably get better without prescription medicine. STAY HOME until you are well and use simple measures like fluids, rest, gargles, paracetamol and hot lemon and honey. Please avoid going to the doctor unless you are really struggling but please CALL FIRST. If you fit the testing criteria (recent travel AND fever/symptoms or a close contact) for COVID-19 get tested at a public clinic and self-isolate until you are cleared. If you are very sick and having breathing difficulties you should go to hospital. Any non-urgent routine visits should be delayed until this is over (eg for skin checks or pap smears) Private flu shots are available for patients aged 6 months to 64 years. Govt funded flu vaccine for <5 and >64 is expected early April. Keeping unwell people out of our waiting rooms will help the protect people who really need to be there. It will also help protect the staff in the surgery so we can continue to offer services. Take advantage of this change. It is safer for you and your family, safer for your doctor and our staff and safer for the community. So wash your hands well, stay at home as much as possible, avoid handshakes and high fives and hopefully this will be over soon and life can return to normal
