25.01.2022 Today’s Independent Living Skills Group explored Australian Indigenous culture. They discussed and recreated the Torres Straight Island and Aboriginal Flags, cooked Barramundi and Lemon Myrtle cakes, and enjoyed getting creative with rock art. Preparation for the rock art activity started yesterday with help from John, who patiently painted all the rocks white, creating a blank canvas for today’s creations. Great collaboration and team work, thank you John!



25.01.2022 August has been Construction Month as part of our Challenge Corner. The Superheroes group had a great time constructing Gotham City! Looks great guys, well done!

25.01.2022 The Performing Arts Group had a fantastic workshop with The Australian Ballet today via zoom! The facilitators were such great communicators, did a great job at engaging the group and the participants loved it! Lots of amazing ideas flowing for the rest of the day! Thank you!

21.01.2022 The Ladies of Leisure group at Conie Avenue got into the Christmas Spirit yesterday! They tackled some challenging Christmas themed find-a-word and maze puzzles, and had a lot of fun making Christmas decorations. They also got active dancing to some festive tunes in preparation for the Christmas Party Performance next Monday! Have a wonderful Festive Season All, from Tuesday Ladies of Leisure Group.

21.01.2022 As part of our Challenge Corner, this month is Get Active Month! It has been great to see the groups getting involved in some physical activity with games. Bowling, Balloon Tennis and Knocking down the cans were only a few to get the Ladies of Leisure Group moving this week! Well done all!

18.01.2022 The Gift box Appeal Outback Adventure group have been away this week in Bathurst. It was a little different this year, with hampers being distributed instead of individual gifts due to COVID restrictions. The group were able to deliver some great resources and gifts to Wattle Tree House Crisis Centre and the Towri Multifunctional Aboriginal Children Service. To be able to connect with services who are so often isolated was a great experience for all. The group was also able to squeeze in a visit the National Motor Racing Museum and even drive around the iconic Mount Panorama race circuit as well! Well done!

18.01.2022 The HADPAC and Superheros group enjoyed a visit to ARTEXPRESS at the Armory yesterday. Looks like they were able to see some great Artwork!

16.01.2022 The Exploring Sydney Group had a great day out this week. They stopped at East Balmain Wharf on the way to their lunch spot of Barangaroo. Zac and Warwick asked Kumaran to be their tour guide on a walk to the Harbour Bridge. This is wonderful progress for Kumaran, who does tend to enjoy time on his own when visiting his favourite places. Well done all!

09.01.2022 It is Daffodil Day this Friday. The daffodil is recognised internationally as the symbol of hope for all people affected by cancer. Cancer Council chose it as their emblem as the bright yellow colouring heralds the return of spring, representing new life and growth. Today the Retro Group got involved by making Daffodil Pinwheels and Egg carton Daffodil Flowers with their own signature colours! Well done all!
