22.01.2022 Dr Sri Haribhakth joined Northwest health in early 2020 as part of the Australian General Practice training program. His name is a bit of a tongue-twister so if you prefer you can call him Dr Sri (pronounced Shree). Dr Sri moved from Launceston where he has worked for five years at Launceston hospital as a general physician registrar. He has lots of experience managing complex chronic disease and elderly patients and enjoys general practice and the opportunities it presents to provide comprehensive medical care. Dr Sri has a wife and two adult children and loves the Australian way of life and opportunities. We look forward to supporting Dr Sri with his GP training and future in General Practice.

20.01.2022 Dr Fatemeh Nakhaei joined Northwest Health in April and has quickly found her way around the Australian health system. Dr Fatemeh completed medical school and specialists training in Iran in the city of Tehran (the capital with a population of over 7 million). She did specailty trianing in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and continues to have a passion for womens health. She is married and her husband is an electronics engineer, The have two children age 7 & 8 years. Dr Fatemeh says she enjoys spending time with my family and sometimes dancing. She loves Australia because of its nature and beautiful sky. Her plan is to travel around Australia and then other parts of Oceania. She loves working in friendly and supportive environment of Northwest Health

18.01.2022 Northwest Health welcomes Dr Jaffly Chen to Tamworth. Dr Chen has relocated from Orange on a short-term contract waiting for his very exciting academic and research career to resume with a trip overseas as the recipient of a world-renowned scholarship, Schwarzman scholar. Dr Chen started with Northwest Health on Tuesday after responding to a call-out for assistance in our respiratory clinic. Having just worked in a similar clinic in Orange he was packing his bags within 48 ho...urs and heading to Tamworth. He is most definitely a "geek" has won two national awards at Australias largest Hackathon (GovHack) and was accepted into both the ASES Stanford Entrepreneurs Summit and the MIT/Harvard Medical School Healthcare Innovation & Entrepreneurship Bootcamp. He describes himself as "an adventurous junior doctor aspiring to transform our rural healthcare system through a better understanding of technology and innovation". He has a global vision driven by a curiosity for collaboration and confidence that communication is key to the success of any endeavour. Dr Chen is a people person and loves meeting new people, hearing their stories and creating new connections We look forward to Dr Chen being part of the valued team at Northwest health.

17.01.2022 Tamworth respiratory clinic is open everyday (except Sunday) from 830am and provides a FREE services to patients with any symptoms of a cold or flu. This includes cough, fever, aching joins, sore throat, runny nose. The more we test the more we know. We don't only test for COVID but also for Influenza if you have flu symptoms. 14.01.2022 Dr Ian Kamerman is the practice principal and owner of Northwest health which was established in in 2006. Dr Kamerman is passionate about supporting rural medicine and the training of high quality doctors, recruited both locally and overseas. In any given year Northwest health could be supporting up to 12 training doctors, many of who have continued to provide medical services in rural areas of Australia. Dr Kamerman has a special interest in addiction medicine, is a registered DAME (aviation medicine) and has appointments at two NSW universities. Past president of Rural Doctors Association of Australia and a member of numerous boards Dr Kamerman has devoted many hours of his time for worthy causes. He has a passion for travel photography. He is supported by his wife Margaret who is a local pharmacist.

13.01.2022 Dr Genevieve Maher joined Northwest Health in April 2019. She has a special connection with Tamworth as her husband of 8 years is born and bred here with family living in the town. Dr Maher says she fell in love with Australia and its wide open spaces, breaches and cities. She discovered camping and her and her husband would go for long drives. After completing her medical degree at the University of the Philippines- College of Medicine in Manila, she went on to study a Mas...ters in Public Health at the University of Queensland. Her passion in Medicine and General Practice lies with the ability to provide preventive health care, manage and treat mental health conditions and she loves women's health. He methodical and systematic approach provides patients with the best possible service and her caring and goodhearted nature makes her a very popular choice. An Australian Citizen since 2015 she is a self confessed foodie and is yet to explore all the places in Tamworth but hopes to do so in the near future. She says she is not sporty but enjoys Zumba - Dr Maher has been a joy to have working at Northwest health and we look forward to many more years of working with her to support the health needs of the Tamworth community.

12.01.2022 Northwest Health management and staff would like to thank Dr Mohammad Khalesi his services to the patients of Tamworth over the past years. He has been working in Tamworth for many months while his family have been in Sydney and has now relocated to Sydney to be with his wife and son. 06.01.2022 Northwest Health welcomes Dr Ian Adair, a General Practitioner with over 30 years experience. His first taste of Tamworth life was as a young junior doctor at Tamworth Hospital. Dr Adair has joined our team offering remote telehealth services three days per week and a regular 3-4 weekly face-to-face visit to look after Northwest Healths nursing home patients. He is passionate about chronic disease management, palliative care, aged care and solving problems in a practical manner. Ian is married and has three adult children, loves boating and is setting up a charity for the early management of dementia and short-term respite care. Welcome, Ian - thank you for your valuable contribution to the Tamworth community.
