15.01.2022 For many of us, the disruptions to SRE/RI this year have meant that many bigger events, such as a Quiz Worx assembly, have been cancelled. Quiz Worx are excited... to a announce 'God is Great' - an exciting video that explores two big reasons why the God of the Bible is so great; because he made everything and he loves people. This is incredible news! 'God is Great' is a video-version of our 2020 school show (that we normally perform live) and we're pleased to make this video resource available to all teachers of SRE/RI for FREE to use in their SRE/RI class/es. The video covers many of the topics that would otherwise have been covered in the first half of SRE/RI this year, such as "creation", "how sin entered the world", Jesus’ death and resurrection, and the love God has for all people. Simply register for access to this free downloadable resource: RI Instructors/Coordinators: https://bit.ly/GiGVideoRI SRE Teachers/Coordinators: https://bit.ly/GiGVideoSRE This resource is approved for use in SRE/RI and supports the learning outcomes of CEP (Beginning with God, Connect and Big Questions) and GodSpace.
15.01.2022 If God’s good plan is to make us more like Jesus, then we can expect trials. After all, Jesus’ life was marked by trials. I can’t picture a comfortable way to... carry a cross, but that’s exactly what Jesus did. And He asks us to do the same. Therefore, we need to accept our trials, instead of run from them. Thankfully, we know from Jesus’ life that there’s purpose to our pain. God doesn’t waste anything, including suffering. He doesn’t always remove us from trials, because He plans to use them. God didn’t rescue Noah by stopping the flood; God kept him safe in the waves. God didn’t save Daniel from the lion’s den; He protected him with the beasts at his side. God didn’t save Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego from going into a fire; He saved them in the midst of the flames. And do you remember their faith-filled words in Daniel 3:17-18? After they proclaimed, the God we serve is able, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego said these two words: even if. Even if God didn’t rescue them from the fire, they chose to trust His plans. Wow! Even though God is able, we can trust Him when He doesn’t do what we think should be done. Even if God’s plans for our lives aren’t what we hoped for, learning to trust God is part of His good plan. God is not saving us from trials; He’s wanting to transform us through them. -Megan Fate Marshman How has God transformed you through trials you've faced?
15.01.2022 If you find yourself doubting God’s plan, longing for your circumstances to change, we understand. So often the reality of our life looks nothing like we envis...ioned for ourselves. Instead of a straight line from point A to point B, we find ourselves in what feels like a maze of turns, setbacks and changes. But friend, even when it feels confusing, God’s plan has a purpose. Romans 5:3-4 tells us, We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. Each turn, setback and change develop our character and strengthen our confidence in God’s plan for our lives. God’s plan may not be the plan we imagined for ourselves, but we can trust He has a purpose in His plan. Where are you trusting God’s plan today, friend?

13.01.2022 2020 has been very hard for us
13.01.2022 Here is a small selection of the beautiful home-made and home-grown items that will be available at our market stall for our Night Under the Stars. Remember, we will not have EFTPOS available, so please bring small change if you wish to purchase items. Entry is a gold coin donation (to register and receive a candle and songsheet) and a $1 sausage sizzle will be available for purchase along with snacks and drinks. Funds raised from the evening will support our Compassion Child.
13.01.2022 When we started our worship ministry for kids (@rendcokids) last summer one of the FIRST topics we addressed was answering the question of what it means to wors...hip. Yes it can happen in a church building, with other people, singing songs but we wanted teach our kids that worship can also be (and most often IS!) things we do in our everyday life. We wanted to teach them that worship is caring for the least of these, it’s returning evil with good; it’s enjoying running around a field and kicking a ball with our God-given legs; it’s looking up at the night sky in wonder; it’s googling facts about worms and being kind. And yes, sometimes it’s singing in church with other people. We didn’t know that just a year later we’d need to lean into this lesson more ourselves. Our prayer is that this year the creativity of God is displayed in how His people sing His praises in everything they do! #SociallyDistantWorshipClub
12.01.2022 Our service will be at 10:15am tomorrow. Come and join us - we would love to see you there! As it is Fathers Day, we have decided not to have Sunday School tomorrow, in order to give the kids more time to spoil their dads at home.
11.01.2022 Sunday School will be held at 4pm tomorrow, with our Worship Service after that at 5pm. All welcome! Sadly, we will not be able to share a meal together afterwards as we usually do.
11.01.2022 Me: Hey God. God: Hello..... Me: I'm falling apart. Can you put me back together? God: I would rather not. Me: Why?... God: Because you aren't a puzzle. Me: What about all of the pieces of my life that are falling down onto the ground? God: Let them stay there for a while. They fell off for a reason. Take some time and decide if you need any of those pieces back. Me: You don't understand! I'm breaking down! God: No - you don't understand. You are breaking through. What you are feeling are just growing pains. You are shedding the things and the people in your life that are holding you back. You aren't falling apart. You are falling into place. Relax. Take some deep breaths and allow those things you don't need anymore to fall off of you. Quit holding onto the pieces that don't fit you anymore. Let them fall off. Let them go. Me: Once I start doing that, what will be left of me? God: Only the very best pieces of you. Me: I'm scared of changing. God: I keep telling you - YOU AREN'T CHANGING!! YOU ARE BECOMING! Me: Becoming who? God: Becoming who I created you to be! A person of light and love and charity and hope and courage and joy and mercy and grace and compassion. I made you for more than the shallow pieces you have decided to adorn yourself with that you cling to with such greed and fear. Let those things fall off of you. I love you! Don't change! Become! Become! Become! Become who I made you to be. I'm going to keep telling you this until you remember it. Me: There goes another piece. God: Yep. Let it be. Me: So...I'm not broken? God: No - but you are breaking like the dawn. It's a new day. Become!! Become!! Author~John Roedel johnroedel.com #God #creator #Saviour #helpme See more
