20.01.2022 it takes nothing to join the crowd - it takes everything to stand alone. I love this cartoon so much because aside from making me smile it also speaks several narratives to me:... it's about being unapologetically you; kind and strong and loyal and honest and having the courage to speak your mind. But... the power is in restraint, knowing your audience, picking your battles and not speaking for the sake of being heard. It's about people pleasers; and a human's basic need to be liked and accepted often at the cost of inner peace and personal integrity. You choose the easier road, avoid the difficult conversation and perhaps even sacrifice someone who deserves your voice. But...the power is in learning how to stand by your truth even when its uncomfortable. It's also about friendship; and being ok with walking away from people who don't see the value in you. The network friends, who only want the good side, who steal your #moxy or judge your journey. These are the friends who wont speak up for you when you're not around.
