18.01.2022 Well, now that the evenings are getting chilly - which up here in the far north means 19C - it's time to think about delicious warming puddings. Here's a recipe for you to try from the Cairns Post 29th September 1927 Baked Chocolate Pudding Beat 4 ozs. of butter and 2 ozs. of sugar together, add 2 tablespoonfuls of grated chocolate, or cocoa (mixed with a little milk), some essence of vanilla, and the beaten yolks of two eggs, Stir in gradually 3 ozs. of flour. Bake in a butt...ered piedish. When it is cooked spread on the stiffly beaten and sweetened whites of the eggs. Brown slightly in the oven and sprinkle some grated chocolate over it and serve.
