24.01.2022 Today is IDAHOBIT Day, where we stand against homophobia, biphobia, intersexism, transphobia, and other forms of discrimination our community faces. As today marks the 30th anniversary of homosexuality being declassified as a mental illness by WHO, we acknowledge the wonderful ways in which the livelihoods of LGBTQIA+ people have improved. However, we also recognise and reflect on the work that still needs to be done within our community, in Australia, and worldwide. Most of all, today is a day to remind yourself to celebrate who you are. You are wonderful and deserve kindness, love, and belonging
23.01.2022 R U OK Day is a mental health day to remind us to check in with our friends, family and peers Every day is the day to ask someone are you ok?. Today we are reminded to ask, listen, encourage action and check in with those we care for It is important to ask this question no matter the day, check in with those who you think may need some help, but also remember to take care of yourself as well ... For help and resources visit ruok.org.au, headspace.org.au, or our university counselling services at nd.edu.au/studentcounselling
