13.01.2022 MENTORING PROGRAM 2021 This year the Notre Dame Law Students’ Society (NDLSS) will be re-running their Mentoring Program! The aim of this program is to facilitate and bond our Law community whilst providing opportunities for students to seek real-life advice and tips & tricks from those who’ve survived it all before. This program will run on an informal basis with mentors reaching out to mentees to find a time where you can both catch-up over *free* coffee during the Seme...ster. We will match mentees to mentors who do similar double degrees and/or have similar interests. Becoming a Mentee This is a great opportunity to build friendships and discover ways you can get involved with the NDLSS and Law school. A mentee can be a person at any stage of their degree, you do not need to be a First Year to sign up. However, First Years are highly encouraged to do so. If you are interested, please fill out the google form below: https://forms.gle/YGfT1ox7z6es3qS89 Becoming a Mentor A mentor is someone who has been involved in the Law school and the NDLSS, whether that be by competing in competitions, attending careers events or sporting activities. A mentor can be at any stage of their degree (except for First Year) who has experience that they can share to help students wanting to get involved. If you are interested, please fill out the google form below: https://forms.gle/KRs5FyRvuB1Mi18w8

06.01.2022 Hey first years! Did you complete Chemistry, Math Methods or Maths Applications ATAR? *Textbook Authoring Opportunity* ThrivEd is a student-run, non-for-profit organisation that creates textbooks that empower students to become passionate about the content they are learning, and we use the proceeds from every two textbook sales to produce a third textbook for a student who would also benefit from receiving the same resource. Over the last 12 months our founding group of 5 mem...bers have written our first two Year 12 Chemistry textbooks, which are now being used by many students and schools coming into 2021. You can see a little more on our website if you would like to! https://www.thrived.org.au We are currently expanding and looking to bring on writers that will allow us to author five books this year: Chemistry Unit 4, Maths Methods Unit 3 & 4, and Maths Applications Unit 3 & 4. This is a volunteering opportunity that requires 8 - 10 hours of work per week, so we are looking for the most ambitious of students! We host writing nights two times per week where everyone works together as a big cohort to produce these books! Upon completion of each book, volunteers receive recognition on the book for the work that they put in. If you would like to apply feel free to fill out the short application below: https://www.thrived.org.au/join-us
