I saw this quote a few weeks back and even though it is kind of confronting, it is true and I think sometimes we need to hear or see things that make us a bit uncomfortable. My MIL was dying of stage 4 cancer this time of year, 3 years ago, she was an amazing, kind person, but she wasn't healthy. She often put other's health and wellbeing before her own and as a result had health issues that began to surface years prior to actually getting real...ly sick from years of neglect. We all think, it won't happen to me (or her or him) but when it does, why does it always take us by such surprise? It always seems so unfair.. When we know better we do better right? Or not? Is changing a bad habit really so uncomfortable that we would sacrifice our health at an older age? Maybe not even old age, maybe your weight is increasing or your blood pressure or you feel tired all the time? The body is wise and gives us hints all the time when something is not right.
